  1. My husband and I met Roza at the baby care workshop she held at Silverlake Yoga. We found the workshop very informative, and we felt very comfortable talking to her. I knew breastfeeding could be challenging, but it was really important to me to try my best at it with my first baby, so I wanted to get support from the beginning.

I setup an appointment with Roza at her office just before my baby was due, and she gave me a lot of information and answered my questions so I could get off to a good start. I also did a nursing bra fitting which I was glad I did once my baby came because it was nice to have good quality bras on hand.

When my baby was born the two lactation consultants I saw at the hospital did not seem as knowledgeable as Roza. It was clear to me my daughter had a tongue tie which I wasnā€™t prepared for and came with some challenges and initial nipple trauma that they werenā€™t really able to help me with, so once we got home I setup a home visit appointment with Roza when my baby was a few days old. It was great to have her show me some techniques using my home setup. She shared some really helpful videos with my husband and I, and she made a lot of helpful suggestions for the setup I had to make things easier. I worked on what we went over for a couple weeks and then setup a follow up home visit to access our progress and go over some additional techniques and questions.

My baby is 2 months now and weā€™re still comfortably going strong! I donā€™t think I would have been able to successfully breastfeed without Rozaā€™s guidance. There is so much to learn about breastfeeding and I found all the information out there really overwhelming, but Roza was so helpful and reassuring that I became much more confident in what I was doing. I highly recommend working with her!

  2. Roza was an absolute AMAZING help in the first week of our daughterā€™s life. Our baby was losing weight and we couldnā€™t get her to consistently latch or take a bottle. With Rozaā€™s help we figured out a strategy to help get her on the breast and gaining weight. Not only was it helpful in a practical sense with tips and tricks but Roza helped me approach breastfeeding from a much calmer place. I think the attitude shift she helped facilitate was the key factor in improving our BF journey. We were able to slowly wean off combo feeding and I havenā€™t needed to pump or give my baby a bottle in over 3 weeks! Rozaā€™s in person help was indispensable and she had always been available for text or phone questions. She never made me feel judged and has been an excellent cheerleader and encourager as well as clearly very knowledgeable. I canā€™t recommend her enough and credit her for getting our breastfeeding journey off to a great start.

  3. Roza is wonderful! I spoke with her before my baby arrived to check in/ get to know her and just have a brief introduction. Upon babyā€™s arrival I contacted her immediately and she came to our home within a few days of the baby being born. I didnā€™t have any issues with breastfeeding but it was a priority and very important to me. I had questions and wanted reassurance that I was doing it right; she assured me we were on the right track. She was available via text for quick questions. Roza is so kind and knowledgeable. We are forever grateful for her wisdom and guidance.

  4. Roza was such an incredible help to my family! I was having a ton of pain while nursing, and she got me in to her schedule with very short notice. She quickly identified the issue, and recommended all the steps we needed to take to get to pain free nursing! Her swift help has totally transformed breast feeding for me and I am so grateful! She has also been a knowledgeable resource for any questions I have, and is a kind and supportive teacher. Iā€™m so glad we found her!

  5. I have rated my experience with Roza as three stars because she did help my son breastfeed, but she also left me feeling not supported, lost, and overwhelmed by an unmanageable schedule.

I am currently still breastfeeding and pumping together, because my son is still unable to get a full feed from breastfeeding alone. This is almost two months after doing what Roza suggested. Mind you we saw her twice.

Communication was hit or miss. Sometimes she was available and at other times, when I was engorged, which then turned into mastitis, she was not available. I also believe that this happened partially due to her suggestions. Additionally, she would ask me to let her know how my baby and Iā€™s appointments went and when I would follow up she would have nothing to say. Iā€™m also fairly sure she did not read any of the information that I uploaded to the milc portal, which was obvious by her asking me questions in person that I had answered in this time consuming questionnaire.
Iā€™m sure she has a lot of knowledge, but it just seemed like she didnā€™t have time for me and maybe my case was too difficult. Iā€™m really not sure.
