  1. So it’s not the most appealing.. planned a Vacay in SD when everyone is here for the summer and everything that is nicer is booked. So took a chance here since I already got approved PTO hours at work.. so here’s the run down of it..

Lots of PARKING!!!! So in case you don’t get parking in front of the room there is another lot with lighting that’s still on the premises. Just a small 1-2 minute walk, not that bad plus it’s FREE if you have a room here.

Staff is Friendly- Rooms are kept clean, refreshed me with sheets, towels and empty the trash cans.

So the rooms aren’t the latest and greatest but it’s clean and lots of other families stayed here too. Plus the complimentary breakfast literally saved me some $$$ not paying for breakfast. They have 2 waffle machines that you make your own waffles, cereals, fresh fruits, coffee, water, juices, and variety of pastries.

I would stay here again… but I’d book a Double Tree before this place.

  2. I am currently a guest at this hotel, checking in on 08/04/24, and although my reservation extends for another two days, I have decided to check out after tonight. I would strongly advise against staying here due to several issues. Upon entering the room, a strong unpleasant odor was immediately noticeable, and the carpet felt filthy underfoot, having to use shoes at all times. its obvious that the room is not regularly cleaned. The elevators are out of order and the bed sheets have a very musty smell. many of the outlets were non-functional, and I experienced severe itching upon lying on the bed. The bathroom was exceptionally small, and the entire establishment had a severe fishy smell. Overall, I was thoroughly disappointed.

  3. The hotel struggles. Every room smells moldy with water damage. It needs to be renovated due to the smell. The breakfast room also smelled like water damage. Pool was dirty, elevator was broken, rooms smelled, heavily processed eggs/bacon/potatoes that smelled like plastic for breakfast.

It was quiet at night and the ac worked well but I would not stay here again due to the smell and broken elevator.

  4. Stayed here 2 nights 6/22 & 6/23/24. This applies to our stay in room 116 and our experience.
    – The carpet appeared to be visibly clean, however after walking around on it for only a few minutes, the bottoms of our feet were filthy.
    – Upon using the in room sink, the faucet was completely loose from the sink and in order to turn the faucet on, you had to first hold it down with your other hand. On top of that, it leaked water from the water line underneath and on to the floor. Not sure if this contributed to the very stale odor of the room but could have been.
    – The beds were not the most comfortable. The bed near the bathroom has a very noticeable worn in edge as it drooped enough to feel like you were going to fall out in the night.
    – The bathroom was clean enough. Though the shower faucet leaked a stream of water the entire time from check-in to check-out.
    – Also, the door and frame are not aligned. The door would not close within the frame and the frame was out of line with the doorway. The attempt to hide the gaps around the frame with paint were lack-luster at best.
    – The fridge was good and cold.
    – Microwave good as well.
    – Breakfast was pretty decent as well. My son loved it.
    – Front desk staff, super friendly and very funny.
My advice is, if you’re on a budget and only going to be in the room to sleep, you might be ok. Just wear houseshoes or flip flops walking around. Don’t expect complete privacy in the bathroom. The high-res pics definitely fooled us.

  5. This hotel is so Outdated . It needs a lot of work. The wallpaper was peeling off. The TV channel suck. Do not stay here. The overall room was okay, but this hotel was located behind a sketchy car wash The bed comforter made me have marks on my skin. Half of the power outlets in my room did not work . The closet door was broken / jammed. Under the t, v, stand all of the drawers for clothes were all broke. It looks haunted and sketchy. Do not come Here. Motel 6 is nice than this.
