  1. I’ve been having a great experience living at Met Lofts! The leasing office and front desk staff are amazing—especially Sereth, Ms. Robin, and Belle are always so helpful and go above and beyond. The maintenance team is quick and efficient as well. I highly recommend living here!

  2. Just wanted to take a moment to express how much I appreciate the staff in this building -I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such a kind and considerate team. The concierges, Ms. Robin, Bella & Amaya are incredible -their sunny dispositions never cease to brighten up my day. I would also like to thank my leasing agent, Sereth, and Manager, Evan, for always being courteous and professional -even when I was not.

  3. Sereth and Bella are two of the greatest employees. They are always so welcoming, uplifting, and joyful, consistently greeting everyone with warmth and enthusiasm. Their positive attitude creates a pleasant atmosphere for everyone they encounter. In addition to their cheerful demeanor, they are always ready to help the residents with any needs they may have. Sereth and Bella are exceptionally approachable, making it easy for residents to reach out to them for assistance. Their dedication and friendly nature truly make a difference.

  4. I was really looking forward to making Met Lofts my new home; however, during the application process, I have been very disappointed with how poorly they handle everything. They don’t seem to know what they’re doing. It’s been two weeks and I don’t seem to be able to really get a clear understanding of what is going on with my application. I have reached out to the management company, and hoping that someone will return my call and can explain what exactly is going on.

Replying to the response: I had provided all of the income information initially when I applied, in addition, emailed the community manager. They don’t know what they’re doing, and how they’re processing these applications. The community manager responded to me via email stating that it was declined because of my background, and I let him know that was impossible because if I had anything on my record I’d be fired from my job. He then sent me a screenshot of rent café having some kind of an error and stated this could be the reason. He said he’d follow up and get back to me. Days go by and I don’t hear anything, I send an email and no response and I called the property only to be received by the front desk in a very unprofessional, rude manner, and that’s when I decided to take things in my own hands and contacted Yardi. Come to find out it had nothing to do with my background, and that my income information was not submitted. When I reached out again to the community manager, I did not hear back from him for days. I get an email this past Sunday apologizing and letting me know he will call me on Monday. He calls me on Monday and apologizes and says he’s going to handle everything as he did review my income and everything is qualified , once again days go by and I don’t hear anything until today. By this time, I already found something else applied got qualified and I’m moving in tomorrow. The community that I selected have been nothing but professional, and handled my application process promptly!

  5. I’ve only lived at met lofts for less than a year, so tenured residents please excuse my blissful ignorance if it appears I have any in this review. Although I haven’t personality experience some of the complaints that were voiced here, I recognize that no one’s living experience will be the same and we are in the middle of a major city during a crisis period in history.

I enjoy working with the building team. When someone is at the front desk, theyre very helpful and they always have the latest copy of LA weekly ready. When issues occur, there are times I have to be a bit patient for the solution, but my issues are always resolved properly. I was locked out of my unit once because I didnt realize the green and red lights coming from my doorlock were not holiday lights but a low battery warning (In my defenses, mine started flashing on Dec 25th lol). The team often shares community events with us. I always make an effort to attend, if my schedule allows. I enjoy the effort of they’ve shown in strengthening the met lofts community.

DTLA is “ruff” at times, but as I met more people my comfort grew. I forgot how “alive” American major cities are, but I want to thank the person yelling outside at 3am for reminding me. Met Lofts is a block away from world entertainment destinations. As awesome as that seems, and it is incredible when your favorite event comes to town ( the auto show was mine). These events bring an influx of seemingly random visitors into the south park neighborhood. As I started to connect with local restaurants, I began to understand the neighborhood traffic more. I wanted to turn these random visitors into welcomed guest in my mind so I started attending as many local events as I could to connect with more visitors. After going to a few music and sporting events I realized, these visitors are fans just like me. I became alot more comfortable with the crowds that randomly appear as I’m walking my dog or picking up overpriced coffee.

I now check if its Lakers night or Clippers night and dress appropriately.

I used the met lofts as a starting point to explore dtla. I have to walk my dog every day, so its pretty entertaining to add some history and art into every walk. The fashion district, historic district and skid row (if you bout that life) are not far from met lofts and each hold a set of adventures. The arts district is either a valiant e-scooter ride or uber/lyft away. The historic district returns you to the wealth of Gold rush, the architectural facades are amazing, I make it my mission to visit cool buildings just capture the atmosphere. The fashion district is self explanatory and I have a lot of fun there but ill review those store separately. As far as the skid, theres cool things there but its not for everyone.

    Returning home to met loft…

After these adventures I would come home to a pretty dark met lofts interior design. I would think to myself “these hallways are dark at night” and sometimes there would be an embarrassing jump scare from another resident at night lol. With a bit of appreciate for the unique feel I found the hallway to be dark but warm and it can calm you if you let it. The hallways aren’t the only dark thing, the studio I selected featured a pretty dark and moody tone. I came to appreciate the contrast with the sunny day la lifestyle, it also pushed me out side a bit more. There’s an outdoor courtyard within the met lofts property, its pretty cool I like the seating and no dog allowed grass but I also have a dog so it hurts to know she’s not welcome. Most of the met loft events are held here, I like the setup and they always feature guest talent. I would like to see more live music, maybe a jazz night on thursdays to carry us into fridays in LA.

Will update review, at renewal… stay tuned for shout outs !
