McDonald’s – Restaurants and Fast Food in Alabama

McDonald’s is a multinational fast-food corporation headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. It was founded in 1940 by Richard and Maurice McDonald, with the first franchise opening in 1955. Known for its iconic golden arches and wide array of menu items, McDonald’s has grown into a global brand with over 38,000 locations worldwide. As a pioneer of the fast-food industry, McDonald’s introduced concepts like self-service, a limited menu, and standardized food preparation, revolutionizing dining experiences. The brand offers a diverse range of products, including burgers, fries, breakfast items, shakes, and soft drinks, catering to varying tastes and preferences. Despite facing criticism over its menu’s health implications, McDonald’s continues to adapt and innovate, focusing on sustainability, digital solutions, and cultural relevance, solidifying its position as a leading fast-food industry player.

  1. The food is fine, if overcooked most of the time. My real issue has come to a bunch of mistakes adding up. Today I used my points to get a happy meal and pay for a 10 piece meal (I was hungry but on a tight budget). I don’t like apples. So for my happy meal I asked for extra fries as a sub. What did I get? Apples. This is not the first or even the second time this has happened (the first two times my bottles of water were also forgotten). I could forgive this IF my large fry with my 10 piece meal had been filled adequately. It was MAYBE half full. I had the order doordashed so I couldn’t even get these mistakes corrected. You can’t blame the dashers either as the bags were sealed every time. I’m really disappointed because I’ve only had these problems at THIS location.

  2. I arrived at the dirtiest McDonalds that I have ever been in today. Staff was outside entrance smoking a cigar and blocking door, I had to ask them to move. I made my way up to the cash register, there was no one in line. Neither cash register was online and even though I heard an employee in back yell that I was there, no one came to the register for over 5 minutes. When the employee finally arrived, she was on the phone and waited another 2 minutes to tell me that I should use the automated kiosk to place my order and refused to take my order at the register. I’m almost happy they did not take my order as the food service was probably bad as well.

  3. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a rude McDonald’s Location like this one. We had a mobile order that we wanted to pick up we drove to the speaker and waited for at least 5 minutes saying hello and no one came . So we decided to drive to the window, before we could even say anything the cashier handed us a ticket and closed the window in our faces. We looked at the ticket and noticed it wasn’t ours because like I said before we didn’t even have enough time to let the cashier know what our code was. We drive up to the next window and we are trying to explain to them that the ticket that was handed to us wasn’t our food because we never got a chance to give the cashier our code for our mobile order. So now at this point they are telling us it is our order and we’re trying to tell them it’s not! So some girl from the back comes to the window asking the other employees what did we have and they’re saying they don’t know. (Not sure if she was a manager or a team member). So she asks us so we tell her sooooo she then decides to get real agitated ,irritated jumps up and down and throws her arms up in the air and say’s (y’all gone have to drive back around and get in the line again). When we just wanted to know could they pull the order while we were at the window and we could pull down and just wait on our food. But that wasn’t the case.
I’ve been to this location for breakfast/lunch multiple times and the service and food is always top tier . But on this night for dinner it was completely horrible .

  4. I will not be returning. I made a mobile order and when i arrived, we waited for a couple of minutes with no greeting. A line was forming behind us, and as this location has had issues with its speakers before, I pulled up thinking this might be the case again.
Three women were standing at the first window talking, and one asked me what my order was. I explained I had a mobile order. When they asked if i had ordered at the window, I said no, as no one was talking. Instead of telling me to pull around, or educate me, the woman talking to me turned around to her coworkers and mocked me like three high school mean girls.
I work in customer service. If a customer is wrong, educate them. Let them know the protocol. You do NOT sit there and humiliate them to their face. I understand food service and customer service can be extremely frustrating and taxing, but there was absolutely no call for such behavoir. I ended up leaving without a drink from my order because I just wanted to get out of there.
Tl;dr I was humiliated for a simple error that should have been handled very differently.
Congrats, you won’t have to deal with me anymore.
