DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT allow yourself to become victim of a year long lease of stress. This place is beyond ghetto. I’ve had soooo many packages stolen, some by residents and some by random strangers who easily gains access from outside. Even their “secured” bike room was robbed and had many bikes including mine stolen from it. Their cameras are useless, response time from management is useless, and their favorite line to use is “we are not responsible for your stolen property, nor can we help you figure out who stole it”. Elevators go down at minimum twice a week. Cars are frequently broken into even behind a “secured” gate, which is broken pretty regular, which means anybody has access inside the garage. Animal urine is all over the place, including elevators when they do work. I was trying to be cheap and live somewhere that is budget friendly but I ended up paying more on the tail end. I have family members that live in the projects and I think their place maybe more secure than this place.
The price is reasonable, and the apartments have a good layout.
However, there are two major issues that are hard to overlook:
1. Poor building quality – the ceilings and walls are paper-thin. Any movement from the neighbors above sounds like a herd of elephants, causing the ceilings and walls to shake. It’s unbearable to be inside the apartment during these times.
2. Proximity to SJSU – there are tons of students, constant parties, and the lobby and lounge areas are always occupied by students.
I made a big mistake extending my stay here for one more year. I do not recommend these apartments at all if you work from home.
I wish I can give below one rating this place is bad . People who works at the office they don’t know their job everyone speaks different information . I had to leave someone rent my apartment online so I don’t have to break lease so i paid until the days i stayed in with utilities .now they have balance on top of my deposit they need me to pay and its my second year renting from them and they never return deposit this place is scam try avoid it maybe it’s nice complex but you have to deal with rude management at the office plus the elevator is always out of service so if you live on 3rd floor good luck . Avoid this place they scammer
Lived here for a year.
1. There were multiple instances of my packages being lost after being delivered to a mail room with a camera. Despite reporting these incidents, the apartment management took no action and simply stated that they couldn’t do anything about it.
2. The elevator was broken for several months throughout the year, and management failed to fix it, citing that they have multiple communities to manage or that the vendor was not available. Even after being fixed, it would only work for a week before stopping again for months.
We’ve been living here for 4 years now, and it is extremely unpleasant.
Our elevator is always broken through out the year, while the stairs are flooded. This elevator has been out for 2-3 months this year, and due to rain water, the only available stairs nearby to the garage is flooded. Every year, the elevator is broken ALOT of times. They never find a permanent solution, only temporarily.
They only give you 2days of notice for in-unit inspections which does not give you enough time to make accomodation for the dogs. This is not the 1st time, every year, they do this, only gives us 2 days notice; and in most case, they will cancel on the day of and reschedule it. Leaving us with missed PTO, and wasted time.
Inside the gated garage, my motorcycle has been vandalized, and my car has been broken in. They have brushed off my e-mails and will not do anything about it.
Majority of my packages has been stolen through out the years.
I’d love to move out as soon as possible, but I was informed by majority of our neighbors that they imposes a heavy hefty move out cost beyond our deposit money. Hence why I am stuck in this hell.
