The hotel was very cute and the staff were super nice. I will definitely be coming back again.
Pros: The ambience is really nice. Lots to do on the property. They have several pools and it’s close to a lot of good restaurants.
Cons: We stayed in building 5 which was being renovated. It was hard to find the elevator which is bad if your traveling with children or the elderly. The carpet could use changing in that building as well.
I’m very disappointed. When we checked in, the front desk person notified us that our reservation that I paid for with the 2 queen beds was not available due to a system glitch. So, they gave me a resort credit for some appetizer and some food that I could not use due to no power to the property. When we arrived at our building. We had to wait for 3 or 4 elevators to be available to come back to the 1st floor because of the small compacity it can hold. Cheer leading groups were all around the property, and many needed to use the elevator to access their rooms. When we arrived at our room. The sofa and other chairs in the living room had stains and were not properly cleaned. We asked for housekeeping to get some comforters and bedding to cover the stained sofa bed. After a few hours, the power went out in the entire building. I called the front desk, and there was no response. I walked down to the lobby and asked the front desk when the power would be restored. She just responded and said, “they are working on it.” I asked if they had a flashlight or lighting for the room, in case it gets dark in a few hours. She said, “No.” Power was back on again after we came back from downtown a few hours later. After several minutes in the room. The power went out again. There was no lighting in the room, no power. I asked housekeeping if they had a flashlight. They have no idea and say, “No.” Now, the room is dark, no air conditioning, and is still over 100 degrees outside. Cell phones need to be charged. But, no solutions. I asked the front desk if there were any other solutions like switching us to a different room. The system is out, and they are not able to process room changes or refunds. No flashlights, power, or any other solutions, and just to wait for the power to be restore back. This is really an issue with safety with no lighting in the rooms. Power was out for the rest of the night after 1 hour being on and power is out again. We left early and headed home.
Me and my girlfriend have had nothing but a great time here. It’s a clean and very beautiful place with a lot of history. Just found out there is a song about this place lol The artist they had playing in the bar in the lobby area deserved a bigger audience. It’s a very very chill place. My girlfriend loved it! The wrist band for your room key is a great touch. We never had to worry about leaving our room key. Over all I would definitely recommend and definitely will come back. By the way, The staff gets an A+, from the lobby to the maintenance workers!
Excellent value for money. Large comfy rooms with tubs, lots of parking, two pools, and close to downtown Palm Springs.
Late checkout was accommodated though I had to push for it a bit. No microwaves in the room either. And under construction at the time, limiting the number of elevators and thus accessibility.
Still a great deal though. I would definitely stay here again.
Spent a girls weekend trip here and had a great time. Felt very safe being that I was traveling alone. The room was clean. My room refrigerator froze everything, but I was happy to have a refrigerator.
I like that there were two pool areas, both equipped with bars. The place is big enough with lots of pool chairs, we never felt the need to have to hoard chairs. The main pool area had servers or you could just order food and drink at the bar.
Quite time was around 10pm … basically when they stopped piping music through the resort. But it comes back on at 8am sharp!
The coffee shop and restaurant prices were pretty high, but you pay for the convenience if you don’t want to leave the resort. Otherwise, there’s an Albertsons less than a mile away where you can pick up basics to keep in your fridge.
The rooms are a bit dated, but the bed was comfortable. I was on the second floor and never took the elevator because the stairs were so much faster.
The gym is tiny. There were 3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals and a rack of weights that went up to 50#. Better than not having a gym when you’re in 115 degree desert, so I was happy with it.
Overall a good value for the weekend.
