I got a gift card to Macy’s and bought a purse. I wanted to change it. I was out of town and then sick with Covid. When I tried to exchange the purse, I was told that it had been 37 days already. No exchange, refund, or store credit. I explained that I was not aware of their return policy. The sassy cashier pointed to me that it was on the receipt and that I always needed to read my receipts because they are legally binding documents. Well, now I am stuck with a purse that I don’t like 100%. So much for a high-end, expensive store. Buyer beware. Expensive does not equal great service. There are many other stores with friendlier and more flexible return and exchange policies. I won’t be spending much money at this store from now on.
The store has much more merchandise on display than other stores. Very Nice being able to touch and feel the clothing materials vs. guessing with a picture on screen and vague reviews. The ability to see if the clothing fits and how it looks before purchasing saves the hassle of returns and sometimes extra shipping costs.
The store needs some updating though, it looks like something from the 80s.
The first thing I noticed about Macy’s is that it is spacious and clean.
They also have seats around the store in case you would like to sit down which is very convenient 😉
I also like how if you order something from Macy’s website and you need to return it, you can take it to the store instead of mailing it back..
Speak with Efren if you need something. He is the epitome of quality service. Takes time to make you feel comfortable and help you shop for what you need in a timely manner. If you prefer a quiet shopping experience, he may not be for you, but from what I experienced, he would probably accommodate you on that as well. Thanks Efren and Macys!
