This was not a planned trip. Car trouble kept us in Prattville against our will. I booked a room at La Quinta through the app – no troubles. Checked in maybe 15 minutes later – no troubles. Got into the room – troubles. The room stank of some cleaner that did not smell at all clean. The floor was sticky and dirty – we kept our shoes on. There was hair on one of the pillows and on the coverlet – we kept our clothes on. There was hair on the side of the tub and something brown sprayed on the shower curtain – we kept our toiletries packed. The blind had the same sort of brown spray, and there was some unknown substance at the baseboards… plus roach carcasses. This was incredibly disappointing, and we have never experienced such nastiness at other La Quintas. If we had known, we would have spent half the money and stayed at a less reputable hotel. If you have any other options, do not stay at this location.
The smell of this hotel is horrific. I can’t believe anyone thinks that scent is acceptable. When I arrived at the front desk, I had to wait for the girl to finish eating her lunch before she would come and speak to me. The room is not clean specifically the bathroom . Soap scum under the soap dish and let’s not even talk about the toilet. Coffee is disgusting. Left over and lukewarm. Find another place to stay. I paid over $170 for one night here . The manager and company should be ashamed.
I just read the reviews that were left on here, and I was lucky. Now… I DID see a few spiderwebs and dust back behind the small refrigerator and a big outdoor cockroach that snuck in the bathroom, but hurricane Helene just dropped inches and inches of rain around the area and we also live in the south, so no biggie (been in the pest control industry for 35 years, and that’s nothing compared to what I’ve seen over the years).
The General Manager, Dayana Hernandez, was VERY helpful and friendly. My daughter and I were evacuating from Hurricane Helene, and I was very pleased to hear they were pet friendly because we had a 4 month old cat. There were plenty of carts to load items/coolers/bags, etc. All kinds of restaurants/fast food close by. Gas stations. 2 Walmart stores. You Name it.
Maybe I was just happy to get a room at a fair price that was pet friendly, etc. But… I had no issues with the room, employees (everyone just as friendly as could be). I would stay there again, for sure. Thank you, and again… a big shout out to Dayana Hernandez.
Stains on all the sheets, if the stain wont come out, dont put the sheets back on a bed, throw away the sheets. Musty smell, probably covered in mold underneathe the paint. The rooms are awkwardly put together. The lobby and hallways were clean. The floors did not compliment each other, changing from lobby to hallway to room, just awkward. The customer service was good, though. I think Wyndham people should come visit and either shut it down or make it better.
The whole place was very clean. Staff were friendly and polite. Room was very nice and beds were comfortable. Pet friendly with a nice area to walk a dog and a station with bags and a garbage can. Definitely will be staying here again next trip!
