Julie is the most amazing. I can’t describe how much I appreciated having her as a resource! Navigating being a new mom, breastfeeding, tongue ties and latch issues, pumping and flange sizing, and milk supply gets really confusing. The convenience of virtual appointments as a new mom is invaluable & it has been incredibly comforting to know I can reach out with any questions and have her experience, expertise, and support!
I’m so grateful to have found Julie for my second baby. I saw lactation consultants before with my first baby and still ended up exclusively pumping due to vasospasm. With Julie, she actually helped me have a successful breastfeeding experience AND she was supportive of pumping as an option too. I couldn’t believe that I was using the wrong sized flange for my entire breastfeeding journey with my first and I easily could have done the same if I hadn’t met her. She is funny, completely non-judgmental, research-informed and very encouraging and supportive. I had thought I was going to wean and then changed my mind and thought I’d feel embarrassed to tell her, but she didn’t even bat an eye even when I mentioned supplementing with formula.
She can visit you at your own home or at her office in Hermosa, plus she offers Zoom visits – there’s literally no reason not to see her! If you’ve had a discouraging BF experience, please see Julie – she can really help!
Julie has been absolutely incredible! With my first son I was on the brink of giving up breast feeding due to Mastitis twice. Then I found Julie, who helped me figure out the cause of the mastitis. She was so supportive and informative. She’s extremely accessible and goes above and beyond with explanations. Now that I have my second child, Julie was one of the first people I reached out to as I began my next breast feeding journey. She has helped me to troubleshoot some issues and we are successfully feeding. Thank you for everything Julie. You are amazing!
There’s no one better in the business than Julie at LA Lactation! My baby had low weight gain in his first couple weeks of life, so I exclusively pumped for the first four months. He was still willing and able to latch and I had a great supply, so I really wanted to make nursing work… I saw multiple IBCLCs, CLCs, an OT, an SLP, you name it! It wasn’t until my virtual consultation with Julie that I was able to get answers and finally start nursing my baby full-time! Julie is super personable, has a wealth of knowledge, is easy to reach, and offers multiple solutions. Not to mention, she has tons of great free content.10/10 recommend!
We loved working with Julie in our breastfeeding journey! Our baby came early and we had some medical intervention where we had to return to the hospital for a few days which threw us for a loop with feeding/supplementing and Julie was extremely helpful in supporting us navigate it all.
