  1. The pharmacy technicians I have dealt with here have been great. When I was first prescribed Testosterone, the very kind technician walked me through the process of injecting it myself. It is intimidating. However it is clear the Kroger Pharmacy/Pharmacist doesn’t care all that much about the health and safety of their customers or the public. They will not sell syringes to their customers without an explicit prescription. The person I spoke with acted as if this was an FDA rule, which it is very much not. I have a prescription for a drug that requires intramuscular injection. They determined I should not have run out of syringes yet, and as such they couldn’t sell me any more.

I had to go to Walmart, where they will gladly sell you the syringes. There is NO downside to selling someone syringes. Providing safe and unused syringes prevents the spread of preventable disease. It is a public safety issue. Not to mention the syringes prescribed to me aren’t even those commonly used by drug users. Since that is obviously their concern, you would think they would be fine selling them to me. I am unsure if this is company policy, or a rule of the Pharmacist currently working. But I am sure there is no law preventing them from selling them. It is an issue where someone behind the counter has decided to morally police their customers.

  2. If you like having to wait 4hrs for prescriptions just to find out it was not completely filled and then have them say “you have to come back in another hour and a half” and then still deal with extremely rude customer service, this pharmacy is for you! It has never been such a chore to get prescriptions before I started using this pharmacy. I have used it 3 times and each time has been the same! Luckily, I do not have to continue to use it and will not again in the future. It is well worth the drive across town to avoid this pharmacy!!

  3. They are working so hard in this pharmacy, but they took some time today to help us figure out our insurance. They saved us money while making us feel heard and cared for. I’m so glad we get all of our prescriptions through them. Because of COVID, they’ve been short-staffed a few times, which means it has taken a little longer to get our prescriptions. However, I’d rather it take a little longer because that means they’re taking the time to make sure there aren’t any mistakes or problems.

  4. I have been a regular at this Kroger pharmacy since it opened. I have consistently had bad experiences with the pharmacy. The pharmacist assistants are not trained properly and have poor attitudes. No head pharmacist has ever even looked up said hello or even smiled. The customer service is awful. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone. It appears from the amount of other reviews along with the timeline nothing will ever be done about it.

  5. My experience with this business organization, and that is what they are, has been nothing but excellent.
I owned my own business for 25 years, in which we went from $32 from my 1st recorded sale, to over $10,000,000 in sales per year, so I know a little about customer service. Anyway, from the very first time I walked into the Kroger Pharmacy, on Old Madison Pike, Madison, AL, I received nothing but the very best customer experience a person could have. So, the lady who greeted me at the pharmacy counter asked me if she could help me. I told her I didn’t know if I should use an on line pharmaceutical discount group or my on medical insurance. She was very patient and thorough and even took the time to ask another person to look over what she had found. The answer was, there was only pennies difference. In addition to that experience, my prescriptions have always been exactly what I ordered, available, as requested or refilled. I believe, because of my many years in business, that good service doesn’t just happen, but is rewarded out of excellent management. So , I would like to thank, just a few of the folks who are making that happen at has now become, “my pharmacy”. Trina, Bari and Katrina, thank you.
