Friendly and fast service…. food was so delicious! We both got the Chicken Fried Chicken. Large servings and was sooo good! Sides are all great, but I got the Fried Okra and Rice & Gravy. Banana Pudding was pretty good, but I’m used to my Mama’s made from scratch Banana Pudding.
Ordered the fried shrimp Po boy. Never again. No seasoning and as plain as the bread it comes on. Even after asking me if I would like everything on it & telling her everything but the onions, I still have a plain and unseasoned shrimp Po boy.
I’ll stick to the chicken salad for now on.
Delicious food. Friendly service. Fried gulf shrimp were fabulous with perfect amount of breading not too greasy not too heavy. Green beans were seasoned well. Chicken strips and burger were also excellent.
Some of the best southern style home cooking you’ll find anywhere around. I had the country fried chicken and my lady had the smothered hamburger steak, and both were amazing. This is my third time here and I’m always blown away. The banana pudding has to be the best on earth, yea it’s that good. Food is also cheap, which is almost impossible to find nowadays. If you’re traveling on 90 and looking for some no frills home cooking on the go, you’ll absolutely love this place. And if you’re from Mobile and for some reason haven’t been here, it’s time to come check out Judy’s place. One of my favorite places to eat anywhere 🙂
Judy’s has been changing for the last couple of months or longer. Food quality has gone down. Drinks (alcoholic) has decreased/declined in quality and quantity .Bartenders no longer have the time to say “Hello” or even speak to you. Some of the staff has become unfriendly. The atmosphere has deteriorated with loud obnoxious people. Last night was the worst for us. It took forever to get our food order. My large shrimp dinner had only 6 shrimp.instead of 10. The shrimp were poorly fried. My French fries were soggy. Forgot the tartar sauce & pasta salad. Had to ask for pasta salad halfway thru the meal. Never got a refill on ice tea. My wife had the same problems. Chicken tenders tasted like they were fried with fish. Her French fries were also soggy. Could not hardly talk to each other because of the noise. This is not the first time, but it will be our last for a long time. Worst experience ever at Judy’s. I am not the only one having this problem and/or negative. experiences at Judy’s. Most of the old loyal customers are disgusted & disappointed. This poor service, poor food quality & loud atmosphere is going to cost Judy’s good reliable business in the long run. Also some of Judy’s staff have become unfriendly due to the workload. They will tell you that they don’t like the changes. I don’t know what will happen, but a lot of us loyal customers are going to find a new watering hole & a place to eat. I have never seen a Restaurant deteriorate this quick in my entire life & I an in my late seventies. The problem is not with old people, it is across the board with all of Judy’s loyal customers regardless of age. Better wake – up !
