Jackson Hewitt has always been my first choice for my tax preparation. Employees are very polite and work diligently to get the job done. Tina Dorrih prepared my taxes this year and did a excellent job. Definitely will return next year..
My daughter, a full time grad student, went to Jackson Hewitt to complete her 2023 simple tax return (consisting of 3 items: a W2 from a part time job, her college tuition statement, and an interest income statement from a savings account) and was charged an outrageous $562! In addition, the return does not even appear correct as the college tax credit says $200 verses the $2000 credit she received last year. The company did NOT investigate, simply tried to state that the rates have “gone up,” and offered an unacceptable $200 credit for my daughter’s “troubles”. Taxes need to be redone immediately by a qualified person, a full refund needs be issued, and a full investigation of this office needs to take place! This does not appear to be an an “accident” as my daughter questioned the rate immediately and I followed up with a phone call where I was hung up on. All people, especially college students, should go elsewhere or be extremely cautious and get a price quote in writing prior to processing taxes. Trying to reach a corporate representative in this company is IMPOSSIBLE and you are forever lost in phone chains, 800 numbers, and transfers. EMAILING gets no response either. If zero stars were an option, I would have chosen that.
Great service. However there was a double booking for my original appointment. However, i was able to just drop my W2 off and Jacinda was able complete my taxes. So my appointment the next day only took a few minutes and I was on my way. Great way to make me feel like a valued customer!
Jacinda Charles is the best tax preparer. Her tax law knowledge is superior and she is very nice, courteous and always willing to explain anything. I call and ask her a question throughout the year and she always knows the answer and willingly answers everything. I have had a very good experience with her
I had the pleasure of being assisted by Mrs Eartha (I think this was her name) at the Northport Al location she was very friendly professional, gave me good advice and she handle my taxes in efficient timing!! I’ll definitely return and recommend her to anyone!!
