I really wanted to give this location a better rating. I also tried looking for the best location available but it seems impossible when it comes to Jack In The Box restaurants in Los Angeles county. I should have just visited the location near Sepulveda Blvd and Pico Blvd.
The new waffles are very good, which is the reason I stopped by and they might be discontinued pretty soon, but I felt just a bit uncomfortable dining in at this location. During my visit there was a homeless man sitting outside who later walked in to fill up his drink cups that were not Jack In The Box cups. Another man asked to use the restroom who ended up using it to change clothing, who later walked outside and started smoking weed with another man who was already hanging outside the side entrance during my time dining there.
I’m posting this for anyone who isn’t comfortable dining in restaurants with this type of atmosphere. I can handle it but I prefer that this type of atmosphere was non existent.
But do not let this review make you feel otherwise about West Los Angeles. West Los Angeles is a beautiful part of the county. I really believe this is a Jack In The Box issue. Almost like 7-Eleven’s in L.A., the branding attracts this type of clientele. And it’s pretty strange seeing as Jack In The Box is no longer cheap to eat. I spent $7 there today for just 2 strips of chicken and 3 pieces of waffles.
I can not recall a time i’ve had a problem with my order at the drive-through here. I’ve been visiting this location for decades, and there probably have been occasions.
But I think this place definitely stands out on their attention to detail when filling orders.
The young Hispanic woman working at the drive-thru in the early morning was rude and unfriendly, even though my friend and I were very respectful and friendly. If you don’t like the job, please leave it. Please teach your employees professionalism and how to treat people respectfully. That’s the least you can do when someone is respectful and friendly.
It’s neat that you can go just about anywhere to a Jack In The Box and it’s consistent with food, preparation, and taste. I’ve always liked JitB. Visiting Santa Monica and needing breakfast in a rush left me few options. Nothing in LA is fast. Thankfully I spotted this location only .5 miles from me. It was a relief. The staff was courteous, fast, and the food was great. Any place that does breakfast all day gets my vote. Stop by if you want inexpensive, fast, and tasty food. This place is great.
Employees are always mad and unhappy and they have attitude problems. Every time I go, I feel like none of them wants to work there.
