My experience has been the same as others here have noted. I am the administrator for a small business that I own and our plan was originally through VIVA. It was great. It was affordable and had great coverage. Then suddenly without any notice, they switch carriers to another group and it has been terrible. The billing has been awful. They billed us for several terminated employees for several more months before fixing their errors. The claims process is a joke. They make the doctors mail claim statements to a processing office in Maryland and then never do anything with the claims. Multiple employees of mine have been told by their doctors that they aren’t even on the insurance policy according to IRONre. The prescription coverage also changed mid policy and it too is terrible. The cost of one of my drugs went from $80 a month to $392 a month despite there being no reduction in my premium or benefits. I would avoid insurance with these people at all cost. Its become a difficult and embarrassing situation for me and my employees.
Had insurance through this company, which was viva health. It was great my meds were affordable, copays were affordable it was a really good value! Then out of no where with no warning the changed from Viva to Cigna. Now one medication has went from $5.73 to $92.65, none of our drs are in network so the copay is roughly 3 to 4 times higher! So now we have subpar coverage but are still paying the same price as we were for the premium viva coverage. Very rarely get a response, the one time I did the lady that I talked to said she could override the price on the meds but that has yet to happen. Just stay away from this company!!!
By far the worst health insurance experience I have had in my 30 year career. Slow response, zero follow-up, Slow reimbursement – still waiting on the check they promised would be sent 38 days prior to this post – I emailed IR a week ago, they said they would check on it and I haven’t heard anything from them since. Consistent lack of communication (and not just this one claim). Follow-up to their reply: This rating is based on my overall experience with Iron Rehealth, not just this latest incident.
The people calling the shots at this company are inconsiderate at best. Forced our company out of the health plan we had already committed to renewal on. Made our management look inept and left employees scared about losing healthcare coverage. Do NOT associate with them. Unreliable and poor communication.
