  1. I stayed at the Clement this past weekend and had a genuinely impressive and exceptional experience. It was easily my favorite Intercontinental stay and one of the best hotel experiences Iā€™ve ever had. The service, rooms, amenities, location, and staff are top notch. Every interaction I had, whether it was with the front office, the restaurant, or the housekeeping was polished and easeful. The hotel is clearly superlatively well run, the staff tremendously professional and hospitable. I donā€™t have a critical comment to say about our experience there. They made our weekend truly special. Cannot recommend the Clement enough!

  2. This isnā€™t a review for the actual room as I guess I somehow fat-fingered the dates when I booked a night here and showed up on the wrong day when they were completely booked. No big deal but when a supervisor came out to assist at the front desk, she seemed annoyed and said ā€œsorry you didnā€™t bother to check your reservationā€ which okay, is a pretty good burn, but after a few hours driving and finding out I had no place to stay wasnā€™t super helpful. She said she couldnā€™t cancel the booking because it was less than 72 hours away, but said I could try calling the parent company IHG to ask for a refund. Look, I know even RC is just a Marriott these days, but dang, parent company? An entirely new way to be told to F off :). Anyway she did the math wrong and I was able to cancel online in 2 seconds.

    Itā€™s kind of a dumb minor thing but itā€™s stuck in my mind and Iā€™ve stayed at the plaza down the street since.

  3. Excellent location, central to the aquarium, and shopping. We were greeted by valet staff and upon entering had a smooth check-in, though it would have been helpful to be informed of basic hotel and room amenities (restaurant, bar, pool, gym, etc)- a Small but important detail that sets good service apart from great service. We were greeted each time we left or returned. We didnā€™t dine at the restaurant but drinks from the bar were good and it seems like a popular spot. Nice patio and views of the bay.

    Room was clean, had a great fireplace and had nice toiletries and a nespresso machine. We faced Cannery Row so there was some street noise in the morning but not enough to disturb us.

    The pool and jacuzzi were so small, it was almost like an afterthought . Our son enjoyed it but I wouldnā€™t call it a pool- more like a wide swim lane.

    Weā€™ve stayed here a few times and service is always good, rooms are clean and comfortable (except the pillows are way too soft for us). We like the location which is a big reason we come back and will stay again.

  4. We had the best time, everyone we encountered at the hotel was incredible. Itā€™s so hard to find good service and I can genuinely say every single person we spoke with was so helpful and went above and beyond for us. They even gave my son a birthday card which made his day! The front desk was amazing. We will definitely be back!

  5. The amenities are nice and could be better quality. The decorations could use sprucing up. The rooms are good sized and well maintained. The location is most of the value in this hotel. The employees are well trained on their duties. Valet car, check in, porter luggage were all quick and painless. The Bubba Gump kids meal voucher was appreciated and saved a few bucks.
