The tax preparer at H&R Block was really polite and explained everything as she went. My experience was very positive. I recommend H&R Block highly.
Worked with Lisa King who made sure to get us a great return when we wouldnāt have been able to if weād filed ourselves. She was friendly and great to work with. Very good at what she does. Would recommend her highly.

Julia at Troy, Al was fantastic picking up the pieces. She had to pull us up on the computer, got our signatures, gave us the estimated tax items, which by the way, the April 18 est. tax was late as was our taxes for the year. Luverne H&R franchise we do not recommend and we will not use again. Today we go get our hard copy from there since it is Monday and now they are only open on Mondays, and did not clear out the tax files they had. I hope we were the only ones.
They are just horrible! After being very quick to introduce me to all of the āpremium featuresā that they have including āPeace of mindā and then take my money promptly with a sentence āNo refundā in the receipt, I was never able to hear back from the ātax proā who prepared my case, and when I called to inquire, the āsupportersā said that they do not have my records in the system and responded with a āI donāt careā, hypocritical attitude. The conversation then ended with āyour case has been escalated; wait 3-5 business days to hear back either by phone or emailsā. Anyone who went through similar stuff knows that this could be forever. I just realized what a āpeace of mindā waste of money that I just threw out of the window working with them. Such a bad business! Hereās a piece of advice: you either do it well or donāt do it if you want peopleās money! Instead of trying to get as many customers as possible just so that you donāt have time to take good care of a bunch of them, scale back and treat your customers like humans; not cows from which you milk quick money!
