From when I walked into the store I knew I was glad I went to Howardâs. The sales person was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered my questions, led me to the products I was interested in and gave me my space to decide. I purchased a washer, dryer and dishwasher. The payment and delivery schedule was seamless. The delivery and set up was performed by two different knowledgeable pairs of technicians. They contacted me via text and phone for delivery confirmation and arrived at the scheduled times. They were very professional and made sure each appliance worked properly. I give the whole process Five Stars
We purchased a refrigerator from this store and found the product is defective after a month of use. A technician inspected the unit and opened ticket for a replacement. The sale person we worked with at the store was supposed to follow up but he never called. Fine⊠up to this point, the situation was pretty smooth.
5:00pm on Saturday, we get an automated delivery notification from Howardâs that the delivery is scheduled the next day with no other details as to how they pick up the defect. We had to call the CS several times to find out we are supposed to empty the fridge in use before the exchange is delivered. We had just stocked up our fridge earlier that day for the whole week and have no spare fridge to store the food while the replacement cools down to safe operational temperature.
We reached out to the store sales person (who says its âout of his handsâ), delivery department (who deferred to sales), and their distribution department (who went home for the day). We even offered to pay for a pickup on another day, but no one we talked to has the authority to say âyesâ. The person who does went home already (distribution department manager). They told us to just get some coolers and that the defective fridge MUST be taken at the same time.
Maybe we wouldnât have been as upset if we didnât buy $300 worth of groceries 6 hours before their notification, but Howardâs has shown no empathy to a situation of their making.
This is going to be our (and anyone who will listen to us) first and last time dealing with Howardâs.
I recently needed to replace two major kitchen appliances when they wore out and would no longer operate reliably. The first was a double wall oven, and the second was the dish washer. After extensive research and comparison shopping online, I decided to make my purchases at Howardâs Appliance in Torrance.
After having nothing but problems trying to place an order with Howardâs online system, I finally printed out my order and took it with me to their Torrance store.
From that point on, my experience can only be described as first class. Jesus Ruiz (JR) greeted me at the door, looked at my order, and showed me the floor models for what I had picked. He then entered the order into their sales system and made sure all the available discounts were applied. He was knowledgeable and professional throughout the process.
A few days later both appliances were installed by a Howardâs service team. They were clean, neat, and fast.
Itâs been about 6 weeks since my purchases, and so far there hasnât been a single hiccup with the appliances or the installations.
My unqualified recommendation if you need appliances is to give Howardâs in Torrance the opportunity to help you. Iâm convinced youâll get the best price around plus unmatched service too.
Our old refrigerator was not able to be repaired. We chose Howardâs as our appliance store. Very good place to go. Not crowded. You can shop at your own pace and not feel rushed. The salesman was Lorenz. He was super nice and helpful. We chose a side by side Whirlpool as this is the best brand to buy. We had a prompt delivery and the 3 men that delivered the refrigerator were very helpful and friendly. They did a great job as well. I definitely will return there if I need any new appliances. The customer service is A+ in my opinion.
Worst customer service of all time. We bought our fridge brand new about a year and a half ago and spent $500 on a warranty. The front panel where the water and ice come out, broke. We called Howardâs and they sent out their service folks. Not only did they not fix the panel, they broke the fridge and freezer! They didnât tell us when they would be back or when they would call, just that they needed parts. I called the store today and the sales woman said that she would do her best to get an answer but that, ultimately since they service team had come out already that they, âwere making progress.â Sorry, but breaking something that wasnât broken before they fixed it, is not progress!! Please go to a different more reputable store. This place is a nightmare.
