This is my second time staying at this hotel and it’s great. We went for a mini stay-cation and to enjoy there pool. My nephew loved the kids pool area and then loved swimming in the pool. The room was clean, and spacious. I love that it was close to Disneyland park and restaurants in the area.
I will definitely stay here again.
Myself and my family (party of seven) have just returned from an amazing time at the Howard Johnson hotel. The location is ideal for Disneyland, less than a ten minutes walk, the splash pool and garden pool are perfect for rest days from Parks. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff in reception who helped me with running repairs on my grandsons wheelchair and Victoria at the splash pool who came to the rescue when he had a mishap at the splash pool. The rooms are spacious, kept scrupulously clean and the beds are very comfortable. The only thing I would change is better creamer for the coffee machine.
We love staying here for or Disney vacations. The location is perfect for walking to and from the Disney parks. The water park is perfect for kids. The staff is phenomenal, friendly, and will accommodate if you have any issues. The rooms are clean, spacious, and decorated with Disney theams that add a special touch of magic. Big shout out to the cleaning crew. I am grateful for how they go above and beyond to make sure that the facility is clean and safe.
After staying at the Howard Johnson, I can confidently say that it has officially dethroned the Disneyland Hotel as my go-to spot—it definitely took us all by surprise!
From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. Arielle at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay special. To our surprise, we were upgraded to the Hotel of the Retro Future, a room that is truly one-of-a-kind. The theming and attention to detail were impeccable, and it made for an unforgettable experience. Nicole, who gave us a tour of the room, was equally delightful and knowledgeable.
The pool was a refreshing oasis, and the walk to the parks was short and convenient. Overall, our stay at the Howard Johnson was magical and exceeded all of our expectations. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be staying here again on our next Disneyland trip.
This was a lovely hotel. I rated it in consideration of value for the price paid. It’s a clean, safe hotel close to the Disney Parks. We walked 10 minutes each day to the park and it was close enough to come back and nap or kick our feet up in the AC during lunch and the afternoon heat. There are a couple of restaurants close between the hotel and park and we had groceries delivered. There was also a cheaper Disney gift shop across from the Disney entrance and a Cold Stone ice cream.
The pools were nice and we could watch fireworks from them most nights. Every employee was working hard every time that I saw them and it was clear that they were trying to make the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. There were a couple of homeless people during the walk and it was hard to see, but it was not a reflection of the hotel. They were mostly right outside of the park entrance and would be a factor regardless of where you stay. Just be prepared to have a chat with your kids beforehand.
My only real complaint is that the laundry stated $1.50 but charged $5 for the wash and $3 for the dryer. Still a reasonable price but it felt a little raw.
