1. Simply beautiful rooms. Staff was amazing. Very upbeat atmosphere and completely updated. The location is great. Nice pool and plenty of room for relaxing. I couldn’t believe how nice all the employees were. They were so nice and helpful. This place would have 10 stars if I could. Very clean, spacious rooms with great amenities.

2. This is an older hotel located on campus. Great location! Can’t do any better than where it’s located. The staff are always kind and helpful. It stays “full” and if you have an issue with the room, you may be stuck. This has happened to me a couple of times. These are small, older but updated rooms. For some, you are good to close the door to the bathroom they are so small. You don’t have a thermostat to adjust how cool or warm you want. It’s only a knob to say cooler or warmer. If you want a cold room, this setup is not going to meet that need. Again, great location and staff! Haven’t eaten there to comment on the food. Rooms do have a mini fridge.

3. This was my 2nd time staying at this property and the first was a pretty normal stay. Great location, clean and nice hotel, friendly staff, you know the typical things that a good hotel has going for it. I love this hotel most because of its proximity to everything that is UA. But THIS stay….omg….Makayla at the front desk (and her manager) were my hero. I was in town for an AL football game, an already crazy busy scene in general by the nature of it, and I got there before checkin time and they didn’t have a room available. Let me reiterate, I was EARLY and they always send emails reiterating check in procedures for busy game days, so this was understandable. When I explained to them that my dog that was traveling with me had hurt her shoulder the night before and I needed somewhere to keep her safe and cozy so she could sleep they went ABSOLUTELY ABOVE AND BEYOND to care for my furbaby. They were able to provide a wonderful room to house my furbaby until our sleeping room was ready to go. I cannot speak enough words to express my gratitude and appreciation to Makayla and the Hotel Capstone team for taking such great care with us and thinking outside the box as to how to help me with a need that was not typical of the service a hotel provides. In addition to this, the room we stayed in for this stay was even better than the one before. So spacious and beautiful.

4. Upon arrival they told us that the pool is closed all weekend and couldn’t give us a reason why. Management lied saying they called us and that we can go someone else to room because she was on vacation and simply didn’t want deal with the problems on hand. She was very rude to the people that was there to the point people decided to take their money else where. Problem still wasn’t resolved or accommodated. The manager that was there treated us like we didn’t exist in front of him because he claim he was the manager on duty. Wasn’t very pleased with the rooms. They looked nothing like the photos, rooms are on the small side and the bathrooms barely fit one person. They charged us more for our rooms than they are listed for. The biggest 0 out of 10 ever will never book here again. Prices are too high for such an unorganized unpleasant establishment.

5. We arrived later in the evening but it’s a cute area university of Alabama nearby. Hotel was clean, no bugs, has a bar and just nice. No breakfast. Good for a clean and affordable option if in the area.
