I’ve stayed in rough hotels before but this is by far the worst. The lobby looks like a storage closet. The room smelled like an ashtray. There are cigarette burns all over the bedding. The 2 chairs are covered in stains. The TV doesn’t work. The floor is uneven and the wood plank flooring is popping up. The light switch to enter the room doesn’t work. The smoke detector has been ripped off the ceiling and is sitting next to a microwave that looks like it has never been cleaned.
If you keep in mind this is a mom n pop business, they run it , maintain it, besides one other employee they run it by themselves, cleaning etc. I arrived after 530 pm and the attendant was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and had fresh towels. Since its winter I would prefer a blanket on the bed along with the decorative cover and sheet . There were a few minor adjustments needed but I decided to email the location, and I believe if no one tells you it’s broken how do you know to fix it !
One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. At check-in, they had no way to verify that I had paid through the Wyndham app already so the front desk attendant proceeded to make a photocopy of my ID AND debit card and also wrote down my credit card information on a piece of paper with my reservation info. Hugely uncool. This ended up not even being necessary as a second employee called Wyndham to confirm it and so they didn’t need it. As far as the room, the hotel is under renovation and transitioning to being a Days Inn franchise so the rooms having an unfinished quality to them is understandable to a point. With that said this room was still garbage. Air conditioning barely worked, one usable outlet in entire room, lots of stains on furniture, mildew/mold in bathroom, and the beds had a single flat sheet and duvet cover to sleep with. I don’t feel like I should have to say this, but a duvet cover is not a comforter. Also the pillows were basically flat so even with the two provided it was like sleeping without any. We only needed a place to crash for the night en route to our next work location, so it met the literal bare requirements of a bed, toilet and shower, but beyond that this is one to avoid if at all possible.
If I could do zero stars I would. We booked through hotwire and for some reason they couldn’t find our reservation even after an hour later. So we had to book through them directly and pay more. Then the first room they gave us looked abandoned — there was no power and the bed was folded up. Nothing was set up in that room. The second room reeked of cigarette smoke and mold. The ambiance was nonexistent and felt like someone could just randomly break in. It didn’t feel safe. Only one of three lamps were working. Toilet paper was not replaced. There was a pineapple can left in the room. Shower didn’t look functional. Bottom-line is they should’ve paid us to stay in that hotel.
Staff brought a remote to my room and vanished quickly, knowing that no tv stations were available. Room had no lights except bathroom. 1 ” void under door let’s the cockroaches and maybe mice come in. The carpet was filthy. No toilet tissue. Not recommended.
