  1. I stayed here three nights to attend a conference at Disney. It’s a 7-minute drive and an 18-minute walk from Holiday Inn. They are pet friendly, and their fee is only $50 for cleaning charges. The pool was really nice too.
I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend staying here for families.
Lots of good places nearby for food and shopping options

  2. Had a concert Friday night, and this Holiday Inn, compared to other hotels in the area, was the best value I could find for my needs. I book all my hotel stays with the IHG app on my phone and knew about the amenities, and check-in, check out rules. My train arrived early, and I went to the hotel to drop off my bags first so I could explore a bit around town. The ladies at the desk kindly took my bags and put them in a room for later. I asked nicely if I could check in early to take a shower and drop off my stuff, letting them know i understood its really early. They told me instantly that there is no early check-in requests, and they also let other customers know that as well. I just wish they could have worked with me a little bit because I’ve been to other Holiday Inns and was able to check in early with issues at all, so I’m thinking it’s the area.

The location is about a 15-minute walk from Downtown Disney, which is very convenient. I was able to cut through a walkway that led from Disneyland Hotel straight to Downtown Disney and surrounding areas. The ladies at the desk gave me a paper advertising the A-Way WeGo app, which has shuttles that take you to Disneyland every 30 minutes or so but for the life of me I could not get it to work for me. It just wouldn’t find me any drivers, and it ONLY takes you to Disneyland. Found that out the hard way trying to go back home via the train. That’s not really the hotel’s fault, though, and more of an app issue.

At around 1:30 P.M. I got a notification from the IHG app that my room was ready and gave me a room number as well. When I went to the lobby to speak to the ladies about this, they couldn’t understand it and asked if I had an email saying the room was ready because of their strict 4:00 P.M. check-in. In the end they told me that it wasn’t my room and a room wasn’t ready so I checked took a small nap in the lobby and my room was ready by 3:50 P.M.

The room itself was very clean and nice. No complaints, really. I’m mostly a solo traveler and just use hotels to sleep and rarely have time to take advantage of amenities like food, pools, etc. One of the ladies asked me if I wanted a breakfast buffet added on for $16 for Saturday morning, and I said yes, but I guess she forgot, and they wanted $22 the next day, and I refused. No big deal, but that sucked a little bit.

Overall, the hotel was nice and clean. Would I stay again? Yes, I would, but communication with staff needs to be a little better. It’s a very good and convenient location from Disneyland, so I highly recommend it if you’re planning on going to the parks

  3. We spent nearly 2 weeks at the hotel. We were in town for a big softball tournament in Orange County. While many on the team wanted to be near the beach, we chose to be Disneyland adjacent. We were in building 4 and had a great view of Disneyland fireworks every night.

The room itself was spacious and quiet, the beds were comfortable, we liked the nightlight feature on the nightstand lamp, and the a/c kept things cool…for the most part. It had this odd habit of getting warm around 4-5am. Housekeeping replenished our towels and toilet paper each day and the room was fully cleaned when we called the front desk to request it. The pool and fitness center looked nice, although the splash pad broke about halfway through our stay. The restaurant onsite closes early, but came in handy a few nights and service is very pleasant. It’s a fairly easy .5 mile walk to the Disneyland Hotel and there’s lots of people and police around since it backs on the Disneyland garages, so it felt pretty safe. Oh, and we could see fireworks each night from the parking lot.

    My only bigger issues…
    1. The rooms should have safes.
    2. Our room keys kept deprogramming.
    3. Transportation assistance seems to vary by guest.

For 3, I’d asked about this at check in, since I was trying to compare it to taking the Disney operated tram from the Disneyland parking garages. I was told by the Holiday Inn staff that the tram is discouraged since we’re not parking in the Disney garage; however, this completely contradicts information directly from Disney. Consequently, this became the focal point vs. giving me ART information to compare and contrast. We also discovered, on our own, that the monorail was a good option on days when we were visiting the parks.

  4. This is a budget friendly hotel, that is close to Disneyland (actually next door to Disney’s parking structure). We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were friendly and professional. If you want some of the experience of a Disney property, This is a nice alternative. The restaurant was very good, and the portions were generous.

  5. Our stay at this Holiday Inn was great. We are grateful to Brittany from the Front Desk, she was very nice everyday we saw her, and she explained us so good how to go to Disney and about breakfast and the bus! We didn’t even ask but she was amazing!!! as well as the cleaning person who was very friendly at all times. Clean room, large pool, very nice gift shop, with everything you need to shop for food before leaving for Disney, which is very close to this hotel. However, I cannot give 5 stars, on our last night we needed help with the receptionists to print some work documents, we were assisted by Cassandra who was not kind to us, we asked her herself about helping us with a document and if we could have coffee in the fourth and he told us to go into the hotel kitchen, which was with the lights off. She just looked so annoyed about our questions. We found it to be a lack of professionalism and kindness on their part, added to their poor treatment. We thought that perhaps her coworker next that night could help us but they both seemed unwilling to help us either with the printing or with having coffee. Disney is an amazing experience, so clearly people are going to have a good time and take a break from everyday life. That being said, I would recommend training for your receptionists. We have stayed at many Holidays and it was the first time we noticed that a receptionist did not have the right attitude.
