  1. To make it clear i did not get a chance to stay in there. I searched online where they advertised a promo , the location, reviews and price looked good to me, so i decided to give them a call and asked more about the room offered. The person who answered the call appeared to be from a booking department, did not know much about the room, and to my question whether the ocean would be visible from the windows, responded that he could not guaranteed that. Worth noting that i was asking for to stay beginning the same day I called…I asked, are you there? you would not know how room looks like? – we cannot guarantee which room exactly you are going to get but i can put in your request in a note. Then he started offering me an IHG (hotel chain?) membership , promising that for a member he would be able to offer an unbeatable price for the same room. Spending next 15 minutes or so collecting all kind of information necessary for that membership, he , visibly satisfied , then announced that he was about to offer me that unbeatable price. Yup, you guessed it right, it was $20 more than the price i found on the internet. To my question how that can be, the response was “you know the rooms are going fast, and the pricing are changing quickly as well”…. But you spent most of the time on signing me to some membership that i was not really asking for…Well…[full bunch of b/s followed]. I hanged up. Money was not the main issue, but the bait and switch tactic performed boldly and primitively i have had not seen for a long time stopped my desire to stay in this place forever. Yes i am a curious person, and checked later at night – google search showed the same promotion price online as before, and the availability showed the same amount of rooms left. What a shame !!

  2. Location to harbor and Camp Pendleton are the best things about this hotel. Room decor very dated, tiny pool, breakfast vouchers work for a few items only, only 2 luggage carts for whole hotel, no bar/room service/restaurant as advertised. Housekeeping came 2x in five days in spite of speaking to them in person and asking them to please make up our room. Very close to Camp Pendleton gate but paying $1350 for 5 nights was not a good deal. MUCH nicer full service hotels in the area for same/less that have ocean view, a bellman, restaurant, bar, etc. More of a high end motel in a good location in my opinion. A remodel and updated amenities are overdue for what they want to charge. Not horrible but I wouldnt stay there again.

  3. It was a very clean place to stay, the pool was good , the staff great. Breakfast hours good but for sure not complementary. The only downside was the breakfast being very expensive and the pool restrooms had a floor that was very slippery when it was wet and I fell when trying to open the door to exit the pool bathroom.

  4. The location is awesome walking distance to food and the beach. The prices are a little steep but not too crazy. If your military with orders they do have military rates but will only do them through your comand or MWR they do not do military rates just because you have a military ID or at the front desk. They also have a little self serve store the prices are more than double the mini mart across the street but convenient for a mid night snack (7$ for a small M&M’s though) they also have a breakfast but you have to buy it when you set your reservation it is not included, and out of the 5 days I stayed there not once did they have any milk for the cereal not at the breakfast and not in the self serve store. They did have a very friendly and knowledgeable staff and very nice Dove soaps shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. The door to the bath room was broken the handle had no screws and the shower curtain was torn we asked for a replacement a couple times but never got a new shower curtain. Other than that I have no complaints it was a very nice stay.

  5. Hotel is decent location and rooms are ok. All the outlets are ancient so plugs do not work in half of them. No routine amenities included in stay. No breakfast not even room service unless requested. If you check out just after check out don’t expect a receipt because you have to wait until the next day at 11 before they will give you one. Wifi was intermittent as well.
