  1. Convenient location for a quick stop over in LA. Room was spacious but dated. Shuttle service was a plus. Our room (802) had some minor plumbing issues – tub took forever to drain/filled up when showering and toilet made a squeaky noise when flushing. McDonald’s across the street for quick, easy and cheap food. We also tried a Taco Truck in the gas station parking lot that was delicious! Hotel has restaurant but breakfast was pricey ($25/person for a basic buffet)

  2. The rooms are outdated. The hotel staff is very uncooperative in various matters.
The carpet in our first room had such an unpleasant smell that we couldn’t sleep. Although we received a new room, we did not receive any compensation for the inconvenience and the two hours we spent waiting for and moving to the new room. We had to forget the plans we had for that day. Unfortunately, we will only remember this hotel negatively.
If you take public transportation, it takes at least 1-2 hours to reach any noteworthy places. However, for transiting through the airport, its location is perfect.

  3. Pros: clean room, front desk staff is really nice

Cons: breakfast is $25.95 per person as a buffet. Yet they add a 20% gratuity on the ticket. You do not get waited on. Breakfast food is mid at best, and their coffee tasted like there was soap residue. You’re better off eating at McDonalds or saving your appetite for the airport. Two people eating breakfast easily racks up to $70 for what should be standard complimentary breakfast. What a scam. Hallways of the hotel are dated and the tub in bathroom is cheap.

Overall: this place is OK if you are really wanting to stay close to the airport- but that’s all it is. If you’re looking for a better experience, stay elsewhere.

  4. The hotel is a little dated. However the premises and rooms are clean and come with the usual amenities. The reception staff and concierge were friendly and polite. Several fast food chains nearby and the gas station store is a stones throw away. Location is ideal if you are transiting through LAX airport. Free shuttle available 24/7 to and from the airport.

  5. After a delayed flight in the middle of the night, I needed somewhere to stay. I chose this hotel because of its location. However, my experience at the front desk from Velma was quite interesting. I have stayed at many places, including Holiday Inns and other 5-star hotels, and I have never had a problem using my husband’s card. I insisted on using the card because the points earned contribute to future stays, especially if you travel often.

The woman working at the desk would not allow me to use the card and even suggested that I have someone transfer money to me, insinuating that I was trying to use the IHG card because I had no money. She then told me to make sure my husband knows to book me under or add me next time. This is Holiday Inn, not the Ritz Carlton, and even there I have never had such a difficult time booking a room.

The woman also quickly checked in other guests with their cards, but with mine, she scrutinized my ID and card to see if they matched. While I understand the need for protocol, I did not appreciate feeling targeted and unwelcome. The rooms were fine, and it’s a great place to stay if you’re looking for a convenient location.

I would also like to clarify this was not a pay at the hotel reservation
