  1. When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted. But the Asian lady at front desk. She is not very particular and details on the check-in. She needs more training on how to deal with customers with needs and concerns. I am assuming she is not very well experienced. She told me, she doesn’t accept cash. 😒😒 so we felt useless, so my roommate and I, went to the bank. I called the front desk, the gentleman on the phone was very helpful. When I explain my issues, he is really good. He saved my roommate and I. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name on the phone, God Bless You, Thank You so much 😄🙌🏻👍

  2. Went to check in close to midnight after flying into LAX. They did not have my room available, even though them and IHG support acknowledged that I had booked the room correctly. I then spent two hours on the phone with IHG support before they were able to open a room that was placed out of order to be renovated soon. They should have offered this room 2 hours sooner, or IHG support should have been able to get me into a different hotel at no additional charge.

Once we were able to get into the room, it was clean. Hotel staff was nice enough, and I am not sure if it was IHGs fault or the hotel, but they both could/should have made it right sooner than they did.

  3. **Holiday Inn Gateway, Torrance – A Disgusting Experience**

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn Gateway in Torrance was extremely disappointing and frustrating, especially considering it was for my marriage anniversary.

    **Accommodation:**
I found a dead cockroach in my room, the floor was dirty, and the entire place had a terrible smell. It was disgusting and far from the clean and comfortable environment I expected.

    **Service:**
When I reported the issues to the manager and requested a room change, the response was shockingly indifferent. The manager’s attitude was dismissive, suggesting that if I didn’t like the room, I should transfer to another hotel. Only after I showed my disappointment did they finally provide another room, but by then, the entire place felt disgusting and unwelcoming.

    **Customer Support:**
I contacted IHG customer service for assistance, hoping they would help me find a suitable accommodation. Instead, they offered a more expensive alternative and only provided a simple apology. This response was inadequate and frustrating, as I paid for good service and a clean room—basic expectations for any hotel stay. They even considered potential cancellation fees for my terrible experience, adding to my frustration.

    **Overall Experience:**
My stay at the Holiday Inn Gateway in Torrance was a traumatizing experience, especially for my marriage anniversary. The lack of cleanliness, poor management response, and inadequate customer support left me deeply unsatisfied. Giving them one star feels generous for the level of service and cleanliness provided. I expected better from a reputable chain like Holiday Inn. This experience has left me questioning the standards and customer care provided by both the hotel and IHG.

  4. I won’t be staying at this hotel again.
On the internet, they flash this hotel as being clean and adequate. The truth is, the hotel is very dirty. The carpets have stains all over and the food they sell is not the best. This hotel is very overpriced for being a hotel that deserves one star. This hotel does not deserve a penny from your pocket. We had to move to three different rooms during our one week stay because the rooms 1.) had broken ACs and 2.) had our hotel key cards blocked on many occasions. Overall, we are very frustrated with this hotel and will take our business somewhere else.

  5. Close to the airport and Torrance businesses. Nice lobby. It’s a little old but the staff were all friendly and helpful. I included the breakfast with my stay, and the buffet was decent. I also had dinner at the restaurant before leaving – the penne was good. The treadmills in the gym and the equipment were all in good shape.
