The maids insist on coming in every 3 or 4 days to clean, which is fine, but some do not clean very good. The one that came in yesterday did not clean the tub, the mirror, or sweep the bathroom floor. The towels or fairly new, and I have not gotten a stained one in the 10 days that we have been here.
Showed up at night to check in with a couple sleeping kids, find out the elevators arenât working. I get put in a third story room. I figured hey Iâm already here so I bring my stuff and kids up, and the room smells horrible. Worse than Vegas. Supposed to be smoke free. I cancelled my stay after the one night and unfortunately the smell stuck to my clothes. No excuse to run a motel in this bad of shape. Made me feel dirty the rest of my vacation. Shower pressure was laughable, hard to shower when the water is misting at you. Water damage on ceiling, dirty furniture tops, mold in tub corners, outdated looking bedsheets and carpet, tiny TV with not a lot of channels.
The room reeked of smoke and the cleanliness was appallingâdirty bathroom, stained linens, and an overall grimy feel. Absolutely unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs. Even the front desk lady also was being suffocating hence she all the time open the door to get fresh air.
I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. This hotel fails to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality and hygiene
I had my booking for Sept 20, 1 night through Agoda and specifically requested a NON-Smoking room since I have asthma. When I arrived at the hotel, the front desk agent Michelle was with one girl and one boy busy taking something from the body of a dog that they were holding and Michelle asked me if I was checking in and I said I have a confirmed one night stay. Sheâs so unprofessional infront of the guests, she jumped up the counter to get into the computer and checked my reservation. I informed her that I reserved for a Non-Smoking room and she said that all the rooms available were smoking and I said to her that I have asthma and cannot get the smoking room. I asked her if itâs ok if I could cancel the reservation and she said YES. She told me that I just need to call Agoda and inform them about the cancellation. I immediately called Agoda and told them that hotel accepted the cancellation and mentioned the girl Michelle who confirmed the booking cancellation. When Agoda called the hotel and spoke to Michelle, she denied the conversation I had with her and said she didnât agree with the cancellation. Thatâs too much twisted information and I couldnât believe she lied to Agoda, thatâs too much frustrating, I drove from Palm Springs to Heritage La Mesa for three hours and so much disappointing experience, so unprofessional attitude given by the hotel worker. What a nightmare!
Do NOT stay at this hotel! I just booked this hotel from a 3rd Party. 3rd Party companies should do their research before representing such a Horrible run down property. The minute you walk in the room, it feels dirty and disgusting. No hot water and poor water pressure. The bathroom didnât even make you feel like you wanted to get into the tub. Everything felt dirty. The beds are in very poor shape. The bedding didnât feel clean. The carpets were dirty. Eletrical outlets only work when you have the lights on. The TV screen is 22âł not fit to watch. The hotel doesnât have a safe feeling as there are transients walking about. People arguing outside our door at 1 am. The best the Management seems to do is send an automatic reply apologising for your displeasure with the room. I am going to file a complaint with the DCA Calif. Dept. of Consumer Affairs, and the Hotel & Lodging Association. I have already filed a complaint with the BBB. The hotel needs to be closed for remodeling or representing the hotel for what it is. La Mesa is otherwise a decent city. Do NOT stay at this Hotel!
