Anyone that says this isn’t one of the best, if not the best burger in LA, they’re lying. Amongst all the smash burger hype, Hawkins does traditional size (big to huge) with top quality ingredients. Little things make this burger excellent. Great hand picked lettuce, big red tomatoes and proper amount of onion and pickles. Meat is perfectly seasoned and cooked the a burger should be. Go big, get the pastrami on it, throw an egg in there and your mind will be blown. Hawkins is the way a burger joint should be. Order at the window, eat on the hood of your car and need about 62 napkins. Worth the drive. Go mid afternoon during the week and there is no line, burger up in 5 minutes. Go eat now!!
We came for the breakfast and I did give five stars for the atmosphere because we heard this place gets crowded but today there was no line and it was a beautiful morning. I had the grits bacon egg breakfast with toast juice and coffee the food is amazing if you get the grits and prefer them with salt and pepper ask for extra salt. The portions are very hearty. I would highly recommend this place for anybody that’s looking for some real food for a great price is willing to make the trip to this part of town and can afford to wait a little bit the staff are friendly a guarantee worth the wait kind of place. I suggest early morning ♥️ Hats off to the owner your food is delicious.
Really good burgers, fresh ingredients you can tell that they just made it as you ordered it. Fries were really good too. Big portions here so you get your moneys worth.
This place is good but, Dam… 1hr wait! Like what?!?! I called in at 11:02 and it’s now 12:07 and still haven’t received my order. Total disappointment, don’t come on your lunch break. Not even apologetic about the wait time. This ain’t the 1st time I come either. But the wait time was to much and to have No accountability from anyone when asked, why so long, is even worse!
Nowhere to sit, trash all around the entrance, worst possible quality service (nonexistent), 85 minutes wait time just for two hamburgers.
I’ve traveled to 15 countries and this is the worst food establishment I’ve visited in my entire life. I would leave zero stars if I could.
Don’t waste your time.
I believe in supporting small businesses which is why I tried it, but their staff and management needs a complete restructuring if they truly want to survive, starting with quality of food and service.
