  1. Our room was on the 10th floor, and the noise from the street was very loud. (The windows are old and are single pane.) There is no self parking; you have to use valet parking. In addition, there isnā€™t enough room for multiple guests to temporarily park and check in without blocking the street.

On the other hand, the lobby was lovely, and the employee that checked us in was very friendly.

  2. Right in the heart of downtown, so A+ for location. The room was big and quiet. Never saw anybody cleaning the rooms or hallways. But it fit our needs.

Valet Parking Only, but the digital website to retrieve the car worked well, and the team at the hotel was super friendly and helpful.

  3. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The location is great, with close proximity to restaurants and the River Boat. The receptionists were excellent. However, the rooms are very outdated. The interior was terrible, with mold on the shower ceilings due to lack of ventilation. Electric tape was used to hold the closet handle, and there were holes in the walls. The hallway was always hot and muggy. The bathroom had a half-used roll of tissue and hardly any soap in the dispenser. While I had my own soap, the room amenities should have been properly stocked. The walls were peeling.

As a Hilton Honors member, I found this hotel to be far below Hiltonā€™s usual standards. The advertised full hot breakfast was underwhelming, with limited options like sausage, make-your-own waffles, pastries, pre-made egg omelets, coffee, and juice. The juice machine only had cranberry juice available; the other dispenser was empty.

Valet parking was reasonably priced, but the attendant was never present when we returned at night. My husband had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for the attendant each time. The valet service is a contracted company, not directly managed by the hotel.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel until it undergoes significant updates.

  4. The rooms are in serious need of updating! There is chipping paint on the windows. The lamp shades are literally falling apart. The handle on the shower door was loose. The grab bar in the shower was loose. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom as well as the track that the shower door slid on. The light over the bathroom sink did not work. There is only 1 tiny trash can in the room, and they only have room service every other day. The staff was very friendly/helpful, and the location is great, but that canā€™t quite make up for paying $245.00 per night for a motel quality room.

  5. The girl that checked me in made no eye contact and was singing to song playing overhead and when I asked questions she barely responded. No mention during my stay of being a Honors memberā€¦granted I am not a Silver member or higher any longer but still. Sink in room had messed up handles so to turn on hot you pushed and cold pulled. Thatā€™s just lazy. Tissue in bathroom had blood or something red on the top tissue. Shower faucet did not work properly. I could still take a shower but it should be replaced. The window sills had decades of paint peeling up, likely lead paint. I understand ā€œHistoricā€ but this again is just a lack of concern for the property and guests. Bathroom door frame had rust all over it. I am from Florida and waterfront hotels often deal with this on the exterior doors because of the salt and humidity but there is no reason why an interior door should be like this. The laminate on the bedside table was missing on 3 sides so the bare pressed wood was showing. I have pictures of all of these items. Also I had to call down to the front to change my room temperature. The man I spoke to for this was delightful and pleasant. Location is terrific for what we were doing but this property needs a lot of help. Not what I expect from Hilton. It seems being an honors member doesnā€™t benefit me any longer. I always default to Hilton properties but this will likely change moving forward.
