Service was very friendly, pleasant, and helpful. Unfortunately, the place is in disrepair. Wallpaper peeling at every seam, carpet pulling apart. Bathroom showed its age with caulk no longer holding up. Great location, and cool features, but literally the worst shape Hilton property I’ve ever been in.
We checked in and the first thing we noticed when we got off the elevator was the wall paper was peeling off the walls in the hall. The room smelled like pee, wallpaper was peeling off the wall, lamp shades were crooked, carpet was filthy, and that’s all I saw in the 30 seconds I spent in the room before leaving. Ms. Ricki at the front desk was very accommodating and immediately canceled our reservation. I could tell this wasn’t the first time she’d heard what I told her. The place wasn’t good but she was great.
Place was great. Observation deck outside was great . Got a view of the hills and the lake.
Mandy on the desk was a real treasure!
Just spent the weekend at the Hampton in Guntersville. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Great location and a great viewSaw several reviews saying it was grungy and outdated. I did not see any where that was grungy. The hotel itself could use updating as there was no USB outlets in any of the rooms but I always bring my own anyway. They say free wifi but that was a problem. When we first got there we could not connect to wifi in the room. Went to the front desk several times to see if we were doing something wrong but they could not help. We could get wifi in the lobby but that was it. On the last night there another guest mentioned he had the same problem and was advised by the desk manager that wifi was available in the rooms for an additional $5 per night. If we had known this we would have paid it but if you are advertising free wifi, most will assume it is available in the room. This point was the only real problem we had. Would we stay there again, maybe, but we would not go in blind.
Has a great view near lake and the staff is amazing!!! Mandy at front desk took care of rooms both times our crew stayed in. also breakfast staff like ms Trudy will have you laughing and makes sure everything is accessible anything u may need that my go to thanks ms Trudy see you again
