I rented with four different companies in Tuscaloosa, and this was the only one that was even remotely good. If I had an issue, it was fixed promptly every time. The house was cleaned very well before I moved in and they were lenient when I needed to move out a little bit early, too. This was also the first place that did not keep my entire security deposit for fake bs reasons. Elizabeth in particular rocks!! If I had stayed in town, I would have rented with them again. Use these guys!!
After being unable to get info on a house I was interested in from my realtor for months, I tried to contact Anna Kay Springer directly (seller agent) through the listing. I did not receive anything from the business or her for a week. I do not feel this is professional or courteous, especially given the short time to act in the current market.
I stated this in a Google review and was promptly chastised by my own agent who said she contacted him and told him I accused her of being dishonest, which I did not. I simply said I thought something was going on with the listing because it had went pending and for sale several times and then was just pulled entirely, and I had been trying to get more info for months unsuccessfully and then contacted her directly and did not get a reply for a week.
Had she just contacted me instead of my realtor, even after the review, that would have helped the whole situation. I never got a reply, from anyone with Hamner actually, but my agent did tell me the house was removed due to the basement needing to be redone, so this confirmed my thoughts and fears, as I was really close to putting an offer in, and as a first-time home buyer especially, that could cause huge problems in my life. I really wish she, or anyone for that matter, had replied.
Long story short, this scared me, bummed me out, and made me extremely skeptical of working with realtors.
