  1. This is an objective review of this store. I would give this place a zero star rating if it was possible.

I went in there today 4/23/2021 to buy a WHOLE lamb. The owner who runs the store by himself, charged me $294.70 plus tax for the WHOLE lamb (the lamb weight was 29. 5 pounds), that is $9.99 per pound.

I asked the owner why the price is too high although the average price in any similar store would be $7.5 per pound if I just buy few pounds, and the price would be less if I buy a whole lamb. The owner reply to me was โ€œif you do not like the price, go and buy from somewhere else.โ€ I told him you are taking advantage of people and everything is overpriced in there. He was rude and hostile in his reply. I attached the receipt as a proof, so he can not deny the incident.

I do not recommend this place any more and I advice shoppers to shop somewhere else, even if they have to travel to Atlanta, as prices in there are much much cheaper than his prices. Moreover, there are more stores in the Hoover area that sell fresh Halal meat as well.

  2. So far the best Halal Supermarket that I have been to in Birmingham. They have everything i needed, from assorted fresh meats lamb, goat, chicken, to assorted breakfast meats and sausages, spices, Black Seed, etc.. even allowed me to pray there when I missed the prayer last time.
The restaurant attached has new owners, the fish meals there was great.

  3. It has an enormous variety of products but Iโ€™m giving it 3 stars because I went here to buy some ground beef and a pound was around $10 and did not look very appetizing and I wasnโ€™t impressed with the packaging. Looked like meat youโ€™d get from Walmart ๐Ÿคข Better off going to the Mediterranian market 3 min down the road. Their ground beef is around $5 and they pack it fresh for you too. It wasnโ€™t just the meat that was over priced, it was the shelf items too. I literally emptied my cart, and just bought a snack for my kid and left to go to the Mediterranean Market instead.
