Grocery Outlet – Grocery in California

Grocery Outlet is a North American discount retail store offering a variety of branded and private-label grocery, consumer, and household products at significantly reduced prices compared to traditional supermarkets. It operates on a model that emphasizes the rapid turnover of inventory, often at almost 100% markdown. Founded in 1988, the company offers a unique shopping experience with a weekly liquidation-style sale that attracts bargain hunters and budget-conscious customers. Its diverse product range includes fresh produce, packaged goods, pet supplies, and home essentials. By taking advantage of surplus inventory or liquidations, Grocery Outlet passes savings on to its customers, making it a go-to destination for discount shopping for both everyday groceries and occasional purchases.

  1. I visited just to see what they have. I give them 2 thumbs up for several reasons: First, it’s clean and bright; second, they’ve got a great selection of random items, but also everyday stuff; 3rd, I listened to The Smiths, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Ryan Adams, and New Order while I shopped. I love coming back to see what’s new while I hope to find the good deals I’ve been able to take advantage of previously. A MASSIVE bag of raw Almonds is $12! Like, that’s unheard of!

  2. OVERCHARGING!!!
Store consistently use inaccurate price tags on shelves. Management on notice and it still occurs! Owner won’t respond to messages. This seems to be deliberate! WATCH YOUR RECEIPTS! Items are rang up for 3 times what they are being advertised for.

  3. Enjoy shopping here as the prices are mainly lower than the average grocery store. I typically find what I am shopping for even though the footprint of the store is smaller than a Ralph’s or Albertsons. They have limited item varieties in some areas like types of soup. They have good produce and dairy selections. Their meats I find are a good product from their chicken breasts to ground beef, turkey and pork chops. Frozen section is a good selection of items, like their vegetables, frozen fruits, corn dogs, fish sticks and the sell Good Pops ice cream bars. The past few times I have shopped there, I had a five dollar coupon they sent to me, if you sign up using their app with your phone number they send you special’s.

  4. I stopped by while picking up my boys from the gym. Low prices but while shopping my 2 boys came in and picked out a snack and came to put it in my cart and I gave them my keys to wait in the car because I was almost done. As I proceeded to the check out line I noticed an employee go out and another in the store saying they took chips and drinks accusing my kids of stealing not knowing I was their mother. If you are going to accuse and follow my kids next time follow them or watch them the entire time. You would notice they walked in, went up to their mother and put their snacks in the cart. Maybe it’s because our family doesn’t match but this is unacceptable regardless. I even said as I noticed the employee saying on her radio they took chips and drinks that those were my boys and held up the snacks they put in my cart. This is disappointing. My car was parked up front too so the boys weren’t running, walking down and away. They got into the car parked as close to the store as possible. Do better because accusing someone and being incorrect can lead to bigger problems. I know one family not shopping there won’t make a difference but you really need to do better and train your employees properly.
