  1. We had Geico Auto Insurance from 2012-2024. They were great at first. They handled our car being totaled by a deer in 2017 well.

    However, they are constantly raising their rates to the point that we were paying more for Insurance than we pay for housing. When asked why it was always based on other drivers in our area; literally nothing we have control over.

    In July and August 2024 I was hospitalized and not working. On the day I was released I found a cancelation notice in my mailbox. I called to get the date of cancelation extended to give me time to pay it when I did get a check again. (Leas than 2 weeks). I was told that if I didn’t pay that day my policy would be canceled. This was after more than 12 years with the company and never missing a payment.

    I got quotes from other companies and quickly found that I could get the same coverage from multiple companies for less than half of what they were charging me. Now I have a policy with better coverage and I still pay less.

  2. Have been with Geico for 20 years. They used to be great but now they are impossible to deal with.
    It took a month to get the claim approved for a cracked windshield because we wanted to use the Jaguar windshield and not an OEM windshield.
    Try to getting thru on phone to discuss a claim is a long wait process (30 min minimum).
    Going to look for another insurance company!

  3. This insurance company is a big disappointment to auto insurance business. Whether you are the insured or a claimant as accident victim caused by their insured driver. I was involved in a car accident together with my wife last September 2023. The culprit who tried to run away from us and who keeps on telling a lie that he was not at fault is Ricardo Emmanuel Zambrano Rodriguez. We told our own insurance which is AAA about the accident situation and AAA paid for the damage of our car but not the personal injury and emotional distress that we suffered. AAA said that if the identity of the driver was not known, then they will pay our injury claim but since we got the identity of the culprit then we have to pursue his insurance which is GEICO. To our disappointment the adjuster named Katherine Lowe as well as the claim supervisor named Candice Greene were giving us a difficult time to obtain a personal injury claims on what happened because they based everything on word versus word statements and not being fair to us on our end. We suffered physical injuries and emotional distress but for them, our statements are nothing even we have presented major evidences towards that accident via pictures and video. We are being pro active on our case and bring it to the Department of Insurance as well as the Small Claims Court. I can say these GEICO guys have no empathy, don’t look outside the box and just rely on their own tiny bit of grey matter on their heads. They are easily led persons like lame parrots. I hope that the people who are thinking of insuring with GEICO as well as AAA will not proceed to patronize these companies because they are like evil and unprofessional.

  4. Terrible service. It appears they don’t want people from California applying for a policy. They are trying their best to make the process as difficult as possible. All communications are by snail mail. Rude and cold people on customer service. Extreme red tape. Feels like the USSR from the 60s. Hello Khrushchev!

  5. Terrible insurance company. My car got wrecked by some drunk mf a while back and they did nothing to help me or anything even though I was paying for it and then once I called them that day that I got in an accident they said that I wasn’t paying for even though I was and they said that it got disabled or whatever and they never notified me about it and it was just payed for. And then they are charging me for “bring me at fault” Don’t be paying for this POS company all they will do is whine and whine and there not gonna help you
