  1. Looked like a fun place to go and the food looked decent. Walked in, clue #1, itā€™s Friday between 4-5pm and thereā€™s only one other group there. Clue #2, waited said they had can really deadā€¦. On a Friday. Okay, maybe everyone is on vacation. No worries. Order drinks. Hubby asks for Sam Adams summer ale and server brought regular Sam Adams. Whatever. Sweet tea was good. Both ordered the bbq pork dinner for $11.49, I believe. They brought out a Styrofoam plate with barely warm pulled pork, my beans were warm and tasted decent, the fries were not the freshest but not horribly old either. The dinner roll was a cheap roll and thatā€™s fine. This just reminded me of a church dinner fund raiser. With the music, I couldnā€™t decide if I should find a real building to jump off or if I should be crying in my food. For the atmosphere, I just thought this would be a more upbeat place and the food was meh. Probably wonā€™t be back. The service was decent though.

  2. Went in to listen to music and was told there was no tables and no seats at the bar. I had a blue cup which I was told could be taken in the downtown area. A waitress was extremely rude in telling me to chug it or get out!! I had no idea who participated in the ordinance! I definitely donā€™t recommend this restaurant/bar ! Itā€™s definitely not what we need to show our out of town guests! I called to talk to management but no answer! I hope to talk to Drew soon ! (The owner)

  3. Perhaps you should engage your front-line employees with soft skills training. as a few of them did not seem to have the right temperament for working in the hospitality industry; or they were complacent with acting however they ā€œfell towards your customers.

Let me emphasize that I donā€™t want the actions/attitudes and demeanor of a few ruin the review for most employees who were super nice.

Iā€™m here on vacation to see the musicians and or bands playing in the W.C. Handy Music Festival. My friend who lives local had not patronized your establishment either, so Iā€™ll try to be as clear and precise as possible when describing just what took place, and the temperament of the employees involved.

On7/24/2024, myself and my friend saw the Blue Water Revival and had a few beverages. We decided to check out the boiler room, but didnā€™t stay long. After checking a few other places, we returned to the Flow bama. and saw The Heathens Band setting up and decided to stay.

Itā€™s fair to say at this point that Iā€™m a very generous gratuitiesā€™ and donā€™t tip anything less than a $5 bill, as I understand that they will be taxed if added by debit/credit card I tip exclusively in cash. I tip immediately during first service, and literally every time Iā€™m served. I do this for two reasons: 1. I gives me pleasure to give to those who are in the hospitality industry, as most donā€™t tip very well and I have the means to do so. 2. It helps (for the most part) the employee remember me when I come back. I drink a few light beers, but mostly I drink Ice water, which means, if I ask a sever for Ice water (and I do), Theyā€™re getting a $5 tip.

Also Iā€™ll add that Iā€™m a musician/Vocalist and enjoy engaging and tipping the Bands/Artist as well; not bragging, it is what it is.

So on 7/25 We returned to see Angela Hacker & Bay Simpson, ordered with the older short (Iā€™m 6ā€™3ā€) blond haired lady behind the bar. We ordered a pitcher and went to shoot pool. We stayed for about 3 hours and had a great time, while also very generously tipping the bands I will ad that while tipping severs & bartenders itā€™s $5 cash minimum, The bands get $20 often. I donā€™t expect you to take my word for it, so I will include a photo of myself and you can ask the bands and servers yourself.

We returned to check out the ā€œShoal nuffā€ band and engaged with other patrons playing pool.

The first sign of a hospitality employee lacking soft skills training, was your Soundman/DJ. Iā€™m very respectful and easygoing but sometimes I too lack soft skills utilization, but when Iā€™m a patron in your establishment, itā€™s not a required demeanor.
