  1. The staff at this hotel are absolutely wonderful. Consistently going above and beyond, their entire team here has been fantastic to work with. Iā€™d also love to give a special shout-out to Joyce; she helped me wrangle a parcel that I might not have received on time if it wasnā€™t for her help.

  2. So I am not going to be long winded, shout out to Christina and Joice. These two ladies were friendly, gave great advice for the local economy, helped when needed and were just overall very awesome. Itā€™s what you would expect when going to a hotel chain. So ladies, if you see this, Thank You!!!

Now, Iā€™m not changing my 5 stars but there were a ton of gnats in my room, they didnā€™t bother me as they stayed in the restroom mostly, but they were there and the rooms were extremely clean.

  3. My husband and I were traveling to FL for my birthday, so I booked a room at this location, one month prior to our trip on the app.
He suggested getting a cheaper place but I wanted to stay somewhere nice where we could get some rest and relax, so I picked this hotel.
Unfortunately, it ended up being a terrible experience for us, and I went to the front fest twice and was told management would get ahold of me as soon as possible and that was 2 days ago so Iā€™m writing this review.
When we first got there, there was a towel wedged into the door on the top, almost as someone put that there to leave the door open, the toilet seat was up with snot or spit in the toilet. Wanted to make sure no one was hiding in our room so we looked around everywhere and no one was in the room so we got settled in. I informed the front desk but he just wrote it down on a sticky note and that was thatā€¦
We just wanted to sleepā€¦ but NOā€¦ the shower head was leaking ALL NIGHTā€¦ and the curtain was broke so we had sunlight coming directly into our roomā€¦ So the both of us hardly got any sleepā€¦
When checking out, I let them know that that needed to be fix for the next guest and I let them know what a terrible stay we had and they said the manager will be contacting me within the hour but NOTHING.
Itā€™s just frustrating when you are trying to get a good nights rest in a Marriott hotel and it becomes a terrible experience and no one even bothers to reach out. Very disappointingā€¦

  4. Fast and easy checkin with prior reservation. Room ready and very clean. Normal amenities. Pump bottles in shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Small bar of soap at sink. Safety handles in shower.
Breakfast was fantastic with grits and oatmeal, fresh fruit, hot scrambled eggs, sausage. And spinach quiche.
Restclose by and a couple within walking distance.

  5. Its a shame. Great location for folks heading due south from Montgomery. I am an elite member , only saying this to justify experience and stays with Marriot, not because I expect better service or higher level service than anyone else. Was greeted by an angry desk clerk around 10:30 pm on 07-15-24. Was given keys to room 315 which was already occupied and woke up a shocked guest ( I felt like I could have been shot). Went back to same angry clerk and things only got worse from there. After a un deserved thrashing I received another room , #317 , in which the keys would not function/ unlock or open door. Went back and was thrashed again for not having enough sense on how to operate the card key , how I probably negated its ability to open the door by getting it to close to my phone or another electrical device ( again, not nearly my first rodeo with Fairfield and its system). Got worse and worse until my attitude degraded into a less than pleasant demeanor. Had to leave for the night with no motels between my home and this hotel ( arriving home at 4;00 am after a 17 hour drive , last 4 in heavy thunderstorms and heavy rain. To end , i wanted to be fair so I contacted hotels gm who was very kind and apologetic. I asked her to review film from this event and to please contact me with her findings. That was days ago, and no response. I told her I would not leave a negative review if she would be kind enough to respond. I do not recommend you stop at this hotel during night shift, after a long day of driving.
