So I moved to the area and I was super interested and excited about this gym! A manager by the name of Hugo was literally one of the rudest humans I’ve ever met. I have proof of residency and can provide utility bills and even my job. He said that because my drivers license shows a different address I couldn’t try the gym, I tried to explain it takes time to update a license but he kept shaking his head and shutting me down. I genuinely went home so sad, and I hope he doesn’t continue employment because I would sign up considering he was the only one super rude to me.
I went to the gym the second day of opening, I looked around and I loved it, I started my work out and first thing I noticed was I wasn’t able to hear my own music due to the fact that they had their music playing super loud, it sounded like a club. I approach the General Manager Kish or Kush, I asked him if that’s how the music was always going to be playing, and that it wasn’t to my tasting, he said it was orders from corporate to have that loud, I told him I was older and that I didn’t listen to that type of music, he laughs and says well then majority of the people here are in that age range, I asked him to please give me the number to corporate and he said, there’s no number, he was very rude and unprofessional. Sad to know he is the one running this place. I had to go to Best Buy and spend over $300 dollars on headphones so I could accommodate myself. I just want to say also if is coming from corporate to have the music so loud then why isn’t the music that loud at the gym in palm desert.
I have never been a gym person… this gym has welcomed me and supported me to accomplish my fitness goals. All of the staff… David, Ethan the trainer Tammy and many of the other gym employees have made my gym experience great! This gym is an amazing place to start your journey.
Very unhelpful staff. We are moving to the area and have been looking at places to live, areas, etc. I tried to get a 7 day trial and the individual was not helpful at all. She said I needed a proof of residency, and she wouldn’t take an offer of employment from a local business as proof. She said I needed a utility bill or lease. She was absolutely not friendly or helpful, or accommodating. She of course said I could buy a pass, but they made it very easy for me to not sign up. Went to another local gym that was happy to have me for a three day trial. I’ll for sure sign up there instead.
I have starting coming to this gym with my co-worker after work. The staff is friendly and helpful. The people working out here are generally considerate. It is a good workout environment. The wait for machines (even for the evening crowd) is not too bad. I would recommend this gym.
