1. We live in a duplex and this is the company who handles our rent and that’s about it….. They’re very laid back and easy to deal (really pleasant, likeable employees at the office) with but they don’t do much in the home maintenance department.

   We moved in 4 months ago and the yard is still covered with leaves…. They said the “Landlord” is supposed to take care of this, but they haven’t. We’ve had a minor roach issue (which seems to be better for now) and a mouse (my first time ever having a mouse in my home) and they wouldn’t pay for pest control – said we had to take care of that ourselves.

   We also had mold in the fridge ice maker. They simply advised us to clean it using bleach water, even though I’m highly allergic to mold and have been the ER before because it was in our home (another home). 🤔

   We don’t have any personal issues with the company or the people working there. I guess it’s more of a lease thing….. the “Landlord” doesn’t really take care of too many things. They don’t actually own the duplex we live in, they just manage the rent and every now and then, send someone over to check for termites.

   Update: We’ve been living here for almost 5 years now, and things haven’t changed. There’s absolutely NO maintenance being done (they haven’t stepped foot in our place since before we moved in). Quite a few things are acting up and/or need to be fixed or replaced. It’s very hard to get simple things done, yet they’re super quick to get those eviction notices on the door if you miss a month of rent. 😰

   Update: There are millions of people out of work with no way to pay their rent, and they (Empire Real Estate) couldn’t wait to get those eviction noticed out once Gov Ivey allowed it again. So sad that they would rather put people out on the street rather than WORK WITH THEM. No compassion or empathy.

2. All I wanted to know was a few normal questions when the lady on the other line (who did not give her name) Proceeded to tell me that they could not give me any information on the house that i would have to go see it myself.
   I then asked if there were any pictures of the house i could see so i wouldn’t have to waste my time going out to see the house and she said there should be atleast a picture of the front of the house somewhere but i don’t know.
   Are you kidding me. I was just trying to give them service but they acted like they could care less about my service so i will take it elsewhere.
   Would give them less than one stars if i could. 😡

3. I decided to rent from Empire Real Estate about a month ago. I noticed a home I was really interested in so I went and viewed it an immediately I knew I wanted to rent the property.
   During this process I immediately submitted my paperwork, my deposit and my prorated rent as asked for.
   I was dealing with Tammy during this process she assured me that the maintenance issues would be addressed and she informed me that she would communicate the progress back with me.
   Tammy has not stood on her word during this process at all, I constantly had to call and bug her to get with the owner or the maintenance team to get these issues addressed she is very impatient and disrespectful she hung up on me twice during the middle of our conversation. She is very unprofessional please be aware of her, Also first impression she gives off a welcome vibe but if things don’t go exactly as she says she will become a very hateful person.
   My issues have finally been addressed after almost a whole month. Only positive thing I have to say is Mike the maintenance guy was great but apparently you have to go directly to the top to get things done because Tammy sure wouldn’t get it done.

4. Tammy be mad early in the morning for no reason lol if you have a question whew! She don’t like people or she either don’t like her job not sure which one….. I’m definitely dodging a bullet cuz if I had to deal with her everyday I’d be in jail…. 😏

5. Horrible company. The “manager” is very rude even before she knows who you are and what you’re calling about so that’s how professional they are. Also the “landlord” is supposed to take care of building issues but nothing every happens. There is no follow ups or call backs. i was living in a house for a year and had problems the whole time, issues that were there before i moved in and up to and including multiple rooms pouring water when it rains and was never fixed and this company still only wants to blame the landlord for the problems instead of taking responsibility for not even checking to see if things have been fixed. All they want is a paycheck. They don’t care about you.
