I bought a summer pass because my kids love to swim. We have been coming often and have noticed a few unsettling things. Firstly the lifeguards barely pay attention. They play music and play on their phones while on their post. Secondly they allow people to be fully clothed and eat while in the pool! I am truly disgusted!
irresponsible lifeguards! â I went to the outdoor pool last saturday in the late afternoon and there were about 4-5 teenagers working as lifeguards and all of them were sitting together on the stand talking to each other and on their phone, showing things on their phone to the other lifeguards and playing loud music. Iâm a lifeguard and have gone through the trainings myself and all of those things I just listed are extremely irresponsible. they were not constantly surveying â as is required of this job â and their backs were to the deep end where kids under the age of 10 were jumping off the diving boards and people doing backflips. that is where most of the attention should be. but they werenât even surveying the shallow end, instead they were talking and lounging and listening to music. forget them hearing if someone was shouting for help. and with 2-3 of them sitting on the same stand, their reaction time if they WERE to see something would be delayed. I didnât see a supervisor near the outdoor pool so they were able to do what they wanted. thank god I was there to watch my little sister because I wouldnât trust the lifeguards here to be responsible for my loved ones lives.

âŠâŠSUMMERâŠ.. inside pool opens 1130. Outside pool opens at 1230. They take card payments too.
Went there for a swim meet last weekend, and it was great. There was plenty of room to relax while youâre waiting for your swimmers to take their turn, vendors were on site selling goggles and towels and whatnot, and the facilities were very clean.
This is the testimonyâŠ..lifeguards wearing noise-canceling headphones. That doesnât sound safe at all. If a kid was screaming for help, or splashing for air, donât you want to hear them?? Pride in your job already!! Thatâs terrible.
