We absolutely loved this hotel. We had a really late check in, but my husband managed to snag a popcorn before it was put away for the evening.
The rooms were clean. Beds were spotless and cozy after a long drive.
We woke up leisurely and had a ton of options at breakfast. Hot options. Eggs , sausage, pancakes, and stuff.
If I’m ever in Birmingham again, I wouldn’t even question where I’d stay. Highly recommend this hotel
We stayed one night on our way to vacation. We had dinner when we arrived, and breakfast before we left. Food was ok, what is to be expected for a hotel buffet. Room was clean and my kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
I absolutely loved my stay!! They have a GREAT staff at this location. Everyone was so nice and friendly. My room was nice and clean. I enjoyed all the amenities! Kick back was my favorite!! I highly recommend Lakeshore location!!
Awesome hotel. I love these chains. Free dinner and breakfast and alcoholic drink. Can’t beat that. Staff is very friendly and rooms are very nice. Only downside I can think of is the pillows are very soft and flat.
We very begrudgingly evacuated our home in Florida escaping Hurricane Helene to make the long drive here. I knew the hotel from previous evacuations and/or moves. I knew it was nice and convenient. I knew the suites were spacious. I like having the 2 room suite to have the living room as a buffer between the beds and the noisy hallway. I like getting Krispy Kreme, Whataburger, Captain D’s, and Publix delivered to my door; I have none of these nearby where I live on the Nature Coast of Florida. And the staff has always been very kind and helpful. 5 stars for the staff. But I have to take down 1 star for the pet fees and weekend charges. I know I should be grateful Drury takes my German Shepherd when hardly any other hotels do, but $50 per night is ridiculous. Pet fees use to be for one night whether you stayed one night or several. Why punish my dog if she is clean, housebroken, and well-behaved? And I thought I was promised I’d be refunded that. And Friday and Saturday nights are so much more expensive than the rest of the week. So if Helene had come on a Sunday instead of a Thursday, I would have checked in on a Monday instead of a Friday and paid almost half. Not fair. I know why they do that, but it’s not right because of these kinds of emergency situations.
