Front desk ladies beyond great. I had no issues at all. However, the hiring process is beyond. I came in with the intentions of doing what it takes. But they make you take a first assessment, then proceed to interview. I was told I’d receive a call for a 2nd interview. Then they had me proceed with a 100 question IQ test, that I was assured wouldn’t determine if they would hire me or not based off the test results. And then THEY went MIA until I followed up and was told unfortunately they moved on to the next candidate.
All that testing , seems like their constantly trying to hire . Maybe she seen something in me? Just Stop waisting peoples time.
I went in for an interview but quickly left after the receptionist was condescending and rude and said i lied about not getting the pre interview email (which I didn’t, even checked the spam) plus more she said that made me uncomfortable. The environment was not welcoming, nor were the staff. A managerial type person was rude to the receptionist IN THE LOBBY making it clear it’s not a good working environment. DONT APPLY HERE
Great Customer Support! After calling their Office, I received a call back and actually spoke with an Application Engineer who helped resolve my problem quickly. Thanks DPS Telecom for having support with a live knowledgeable person.
I originally deleted my review in an effort to not disparage a company I hardly knew, but the other reviews with similar outcomes prompted me to relate my own experience.
While in college, I applied to an opening via Craigslist by this company for an office assistant position. My initial invitation included coming in for an IQ test, MBTI test, and simple deductive reasoning test. Thought it was a bit much, but did it anyway. A few days later I had a follow up with a low level manager. It was condescending.
I was instructed to wait for another interview. Having not been told when, I called in once a week, for 5 weeks. Barely managed to get a response. Eventually they asked me to come in and interview for a customer service position instead. So I did.
Another few weeks. Nothing. Then I had a second interview with another manager. Also condescending. Took me over to a third manager. This guy was nice but seemed disinterested that I had been dumped on him.
A week later I had an interview with the CEO. I understand tight knit companies but I thought I was applying for a job answering phones, not running the whole shebang.
CEO sends me home with an assignment to write a marketing ploy selling batting tees to aliens. I try my best. Two weeks later the marketing manager emails me a brief statement tearing my assignment apart and basically told me I wasted two months of my time as there was no position for me there.
Looking back on it, thank God for that.
I don’t know if and how this company’s customers have good relations with them. I advise all job seekers, especially those looking for a technical job, to STAY AWAY from these people. They will berate you, waste your time, treat you like an inconvenience, and if you manage to get in, you’ll get minimum wage.
They honestly should be out of business due to lack of hiring integrity.
An internet search for a wifi capable propane tank monitor returned DPS Telecom, located in Fresno, CA.
I texted my info. and got a call back within an hour. They weren’t able to supply me
with what I needed, but enthusiastically helped me find it in Carlisle, PA. If they go to so much trouble to help a non customer, I’m sure you will not be disappointed with their level of service if you actually bought something from them.
