  1. Great location by the fwy. If you need a cheap place, then this is the place for you. Check the rooms for cameras. Our room had some interesting little hiding places. Itā€™s better to be safe than sorry. The room looked clean on the surface, but I found a roach & was no longer comfortable. I canā€™t fault the hotel too much because people bring them from home & visit the hotel. Maybe they need to treat each room & the property once or twice a week. This particular location is on the same comfort level & cleanliness as a motel six. Itā€™s cheap & you get what you pay for.

  2. I agree with others that the location is excellent; it is walking distance to the beach.
However, when I called to make reservations, I was quoted a rate that was different than when I checked in. On further discussion, it turns out the rate quoted on the phone was a quote averageā€ and not a daily rate.
The room is adequate, a single queen bed, but it is not well maintained.
The bathtub looks grimy, and the headboard of the bed literally stuck to my hair when I leaned my head back onto it. Ick!
I took a photo of the stains on the pillow that the headboard made when I used it between me and the headboard. The headboard is sticky and grimy. Really gross!
There is a lamp on the wall that is in disrepair ā€“ it is leaning outwards and the bulb does not work, and the lamp on the bedside has a shade that has been abused by someone.
When I checked in, they offered additional linens if I requested them. Today, when I requested additional towels and washcloths, they requested I make an exchange of the dirty towels and washcloths. They explained that they will be fully booked on Saturday and will not have enough towels for all the rooms. This tells me that they do not have an ample supply of linens to be able to offer additional linens to anyone.
Itā€™s a hotel room, with Days Inn, and it is close to everything I want to be near, at about the lowest rate for the area. But, I wish it were in better shape. It makes me feel gross.

  3. I had to unexpectedly make a reservation after traveling for 6 1/2 hours this direction. I was scolded by the front desk guy that since I was checking in at 3am on Tuesday, they would normally charge me for an extra night since check oin doesnā€™t start until 3pm. He said heā€™d charge me 30 for an early check in instead of charging me for the extra night. Made it sound like he was really hooking me up. This was an unexpected expense. He didnā€™t realize that between the incidental, the room and my extra charge, he was cleaning out what I had left. I didnā€™t argue and let him charge my card. I wasnā€™t even in the room for a full minute. The shower was covered in roaches. More than six. I didnā€™t stick around to get an exact number I was out of there so quick. I made it back to the front desk to keep the front desk guy informed about the room he put me in. He offered to put me in another room. But my trust was already gone. Then he offered to cancel the reservation no charge. The money wouldnā€™t make it back to my account until a few business days. Which means Iā€™m sleeping in my car tonight. I understand he doesnā€™t make the rules, but he did not have much interest in righting the situation,or contacting someone who could. Idk youā€™re getting an hourly wage, at least pretend to care? Maybe itā€™s a gen z thing, but I wouldnā€™t feel right leaving a woman on the street in a foreign town; shrug in her face and say good luck with that. Iā€™d be making phone calls to at least check if someone with more authority than me can find a way to help this customer. I donā€™t enjoy complaining and Iā€™m not on the hunt for free stuff, but this was one of few moments where a full blown Karen episode was necessary. If you actually made it to the end of this review, Iā€™ll leave you with this. Just send the extra money to go somewhere safe and clean.

  4. The hotel receptionists of both day and night shifts at this hotel were very courteous.
I understand you get what you pay for. The rate was lowest in the area. I thought this is a Wyndham property so there must be some minimum hotel standards. But the hotel itself is a piece of work. First, the digital room key wasnā€™t working so they had to get me another room after my 3rd visit to the office. I was planning to stay here for a couple of nights. On the first night, I saw a cockroach on the nightstand and killed it ā€“ figured I wouldnā€™t let it get to me because maybe it was only a one time issue. In the middle of the night, I turned on the bathroom lyights and saw some cockroaches scattering on the floor and a huge one in the bathtub. I was shaken up and could barely sleep, feeling itchy all night. The next morning, I still thought Iā€™d give it a try. I went to take a shower but I couldnā€™t even turn on the shower faucet. That was it for me! I asked for a full refund which they refused to give but they allowed me to cancel the rest of the reservation without a cancellation fee.
    Highly DO NOT recommend.

  5. Itā€™s definitely a place to lay your head near the beach on the cheap. Iā€™ve been to 33 states and 3 countries and stayed in my fair share of low end motels. Iā€™m not picky about the fancy stuff. I stayed here from 6/14-6/18 in room 317. I have to say Iā€™ve never had housekeeping try to insist on coming into my room after refusing service and while having my ā€œlights outā€ aka ā€œdo not disturbā€ sign on the door. My partner and I were in a vulnerable state and did not want to be seen. I think the lady thought it was check out day, but we were booked from Friday until Monday. This occurred on Sunday 6/17. There was also a language barrier which made things difficult to communicate as my Spanish is pretty rough, and it seemed like the lady was being trained. The other lady outside said it was okay and they left. My partner and I left to enjoy the afternoon at the beach and came back to find that housekeeping had waited til we left and returned even though we had left the ā€œdo not disturbā€ sign on the door.
We had electronics and other important items we were unable to store in the safe because it didnā€™t workā€¦so we werenā€™t comfortable with any staff entering our room. Luckily, they did their job and left our personal effects be, but it was pretty unsettling. I usually donā€™t leave reviews, but in 33 states Iā€™ve never experienced such a thing.
