Took my car in today to have the AC looked at. Was told by a previous mechanic the AC line had a leak and would need to be replaced. Quoted me a $1000. Took it to DJ and he found no leak, charged my AC, added oil and now she’s blowing air as cool as the arctic! Honest no nonsense mechanic that has a new customer for life!! Highly recommend!!!
My daughter had a problem with her car once she got to the beach and the problem had to be fixed before traveling back home. DJ was like having a friend in the auto repair business! He took care of my daughter like he was taking care of his own. He was in constant communication with me and was able to take care of all her needs. He went above and beyond!! If you have a car problem, these are people you can trust!! Highly recommend!
A/C failed in mid-July while on vacation. I suspected the compressor had seized as the rubber from the serpentine belt burned. DJ’s confirmed and quoted replacement of compressor and belt at a good price and were able to start immediately due to some no shows that day. Picked up the next morning and all worked well. Family owned and operated. Even the family dogs are there to greet customers.
D.J’s is a phenomenal buisness!! They do excellent auto work and are extremely fair with their pricing. They even shop around to get you the best deal on parts. I have lived in 4 different places in Alabama and also, Montana, but I always come home to D.J’s in Gulf Shores for any autowork. I trust them, and they have been taking care of my familys’ cars (5) for over 15 years! Thank you D.J.’s!
They fixed the problem but overcharged, definitely takes advantage of tourists being stranded on vacation. An alternator costs $150-$200 on the high side…they charged $400 for the part and that wasn’t including labor. They got it done quickly since their shop wasn’t busy. Other than overpriced they were nice and helpful.
