  1. We did not stay at the hotel, but we wanted to grab a drink at their Aqua Beachfront Bar. We came by to grab a quick drink and enjoyed the outdoor seating! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The outside seating played music and there was a lot spaced out seating. Nice place to grab a happy hour drink!

  2. We’re locals and have visited the Crowne Plaza dozens of times over the years; however, our most recent visit was extra special. Our son and his beautiful bride recently got married and we booked several rooms for the bridal party, so they had space to get ready and enjoy each other’s company the entire weekend.

We booked a combination of suites and standard rooms, all of which were clean, comfortable, and well appointed
It was awesome to have the mini fridges and extra counter space for drinks and snacks. Front desk staff is courteous and accommodating; bell staff and valet were equally helpful and took great care of us. Room service was excellent, hotel bar served great drinks, housekeeping did a great job as well. I found NOTHING to improve upon.

These days, with the prices of everything going up and up each year, it’s important to feel you received what you paid for and we definitely did. Grateful for our amazing weekend and will continue to recommend the Crowne Plaza over and over again for friends and family coming to visit or a special stay-cation in our beautiful hometown.

Special thanks to Melody @ the front desk. Thanks for putting up with us (especially me and all of the particulars) and being so helpful! Your efforts didn’t go unnoticed! Also, I wish I knew his name, but the tall, lean valet guy wearing a beanie – you rock! Thanks for all your help! (Management, please give that guy a raise!)

  3. The rooms were a bit beat up and small. You have to twist to get by each other. There is no place to put your stuff in the bathroom and no bedside tables. You can’t sit on the balcony because the freeway is too loud. Hot water was off and on and the tub didn’t plug up. The parking situation is awkward. The customer service is stellar which makes up for it. The restaurant and pool are great too.

  4. Beach front hotel close to shops and restaurants. Fresh Lavazza coffee every morning served in lobby, rooms are nice size. 3 nights local musicians were playing music and singing in the bar area at night. You can walk at night to the pier and watch sunset and sunrise from the balcony. There is Aloha steak house cross the street food was good and there is valet parking and regular parking. We definitely will be back next time we are in Ventura.

  5. My wife and I just spent the last week here on a short trip from AZ. The checkin process was a little long as they only had one person working the front desk, but once served he was prompt and helpful. Our room was a Jr Sunset Suite and it was spacious and clean and comfortable. The bathroom was recently remodeled and nice. Evening sunsets were very enjoyable from our room. Everyone that we encountered at the hotel was very friendly including even the maintenance personnel. Only exception to this was one morning I reported that the men’s room needed attention and the woman at the front desk told me the lobby attendant hadn’t gotten in yet

right answer is “thank you I will have someone look into it right away”
a teachable moment in the service industry. The restaurant at the hotel serves really tasty meals and the bar does as well. The sitting area with fire pits out front and the pool nearby are great places to hang out. The parking is via valet and you pay $18/day or you can park at the public garage but I wouldn’t recommend it. The hotel itself is right on their promenade (a boardwalk like feature of 3 miles) and less than a half mile walk is a huge variety of restaurants you can walk to easily. Honestly, everything about our stay was very pleasant so going to rate these folks 5 stars for our week stay. I don’t think you can go wrong staying here if in Ventura.
