  1. I spent 5 nights here while a family member was a patient at UAB hospital. This hotel is very nice and conveniently located right next to the hospital and parking. The customer service was excellent. For the most part, it’s quiet; there were nights that ambulance sirens seemed almost non-stop but the convenience of location was worth it.

  2. Room was very clean, neat. Had 2 beds, which slept great. Very small fridge in room with coffee maker. Clean linens & plenty of towels. As convenient to UAB Hospital as you can get! Staff at desk very friendly, helpful, courteous. Wonderful place to stay if you have needs at the hospital or nearby. Easy walk to several restaurants with a bistro located in hotel. Numerous drinks & snacks located by front desk.

  3. Good sized room, we’ve been here for 4 nights (scheduled for 3 more) our room has not been serviced. Your staff needs to be schooled on service animals, I carry mine most of the time b/c she is seizure alert so she needs to be closer to my head, she said ” so, how is she a service dog, if you carry her?” I took a moment to explain, which according to the ADA I don’t have to do, she is certified, just made it kind of weird and uncomfortable, never had that asked before.

I would like to acknowledge the manager, Nina (I’m pretty sure that’s her name) she has gone out of her way to make things right and to be encouraging after my husband’s liver transplant. Thank you for being attentive and showing that you care about your guest.

  4. We stayed for a softball tournament in the area. We felt very unsafe as soon as we walked out the doors. There are homeless everywhere asking for money and food. With this being right across from the hospital it was also very noisy. The rooms were also outdated with old furniture that was dirty. Carpet was sticky. However the staff was very nice and helpful. We will not be staying here again.

  5. Whew! Booked a 2 night stay at this location. What a mistake. The first room my family checked in was absolutely unspeakable. Stains everyone with varying colors. Hair, finger nails on carpet, stained tub, filthy toilet. Went to the front desk to complain and was “upgraded” to a better suit. Room conditions were not much better in the second room. This hotel isn’t worthy of the Marriott brand. Pissed customer.
