  1. Spent the Labor Day weekend at this establishment. I ‘m not much of a complainer ; but some things warrant mentioning. Was not impressed with the cleanliness of the carpets(very old, worn and dirty) and breakfast was not impressive but adequate. Of course I had to pay 160+/night because of Alabama football weekend; and everyone else was booked up. Turned the TV on when I got there; only channel I could catch with the remote was HBO. One of the staff came up and tried to program the remote with no luck. I got a new remote with instructions, programmed it and got two functions to work on it. Complained ever day to the staff and they all said that there was nothing they could do. Called again for probably the third time at this point; and they said maintenance had went to our room (while we were out) and fixed it. Went back to room; still one channel. Called and told front desk; and you guessed it. There was nothing they could do. Asked if I could check out before my third night; and of course they don’t reimburse on football weekends. All in all this is a one and done. I’ll sleep in my car before I go back there. Oh, the A/C worked fine. One bright spot. The staff were indifferent and spent very little time sitting at the front desk.

  2. The clerk was NOT friendly at all at check in& we had paid online& still had to pay a 10$ fee for incidentals, which she said would be reimbursed in 10 days. The 1st night my sheets smelled like harsh chemicals, like maybe something was spilled on them or put on bed from package without washing?& I woke up 3x. I couldn’t sleep it was so bad but the other bed was fine,no smell. We came in at 10pm& found the beds unmade, housekeeping had skipped our room so my Husband & Grandson had to wait downstairs until the lady came& helped make the beds. With clean sheets I was finally able to sleep. The AC smelled musty& the carpets were dirty but the rest of the room was decent. The breakfast was the best that I ever had in a hotel& the kitchen Lady was the best!!! She made us feel at home! She is your greatest asset!!! The elevator needs work,my husband is familiar with them& said it sounded like it needed service. Will not stay here again. This was were we had always stayed while in Tuscaloosa & it used to be top notch. Time takes its toll so replace the carpets& AC filters& train your clerks that 1st impressions mean alot. Thank you.

  3. The ONLY good thing about this company is the companies location (…that should say A LOT!!!). The building on the inside, rooms & elevator are completely delapadated!!! In my opinion, it’s definitely time for some much needed repairs by management & owner…Upon arriving to my room, I realized that housekeeping must have skipped my room (bed unmade, NO clean linens, no towels or wash rags…). The room definitely smelled musty!!! Some quick fixes would be: to clean the room, spray some “smell good spray”, restock room with much needed amenities & clean linens. Once I brought this to the attention of the manager on duty, housekeeping came & fixed SOME of the rooms issues. However, this morning the musty smell returned in my room. Upon further investigation, by myself, I found out that the AC filter needed cleaning. I brought this concern to the morning manager, Monique (she’s another story we shall get to momentarily…). Monique didn’t show ANY signs of concern when I informed her of my room’s issues last night. So, I didn’t feel the need to continue wasting my time updating her on it! She was very unconcerned & completely unapologetic!! I will offer a piece of advice for the owner/management… RETRAIN PROPERLY OR REHIRE STAFF!!! If Monique is a reflection on your company, then I want NO part of it!! After my lovely talk with Monique, I decided that I would try the companies breakfast before I headed out to work. WELL, WELL, WELL… “Little Mrs. Hospitality” lets me know that I’m 6 MINUTES EARLY for breakfast!!! 6 MINUTES, REALLY?? She honestly REFUSED to let me get breakfast until the clock displayed the correct “breakfast time”. Who is she??? The “breakfast police”? Get it together folks before you jeopardize this companies reputation & business opportunities!!! I will NEVER stay here again….Nor will I EVER refer ANYONE to this location!!!

  4. Our stay experience was normal, not really extraordinary. Breakfast is ok bit what stand out is the customer service. Breakfast ladies were super nice and polite. Front desk lady was on the loud side but she was really nice. Hallway on floor 2 stinks. We told the front desk lady and the issue was semi addressed.
Our daughter forgot her phone, not sure who did the calling but did a great wonderful job at assisting us to ship the phone back to our house. Service is definitely 5 star. The smell of the hallway takes overall down to 4. We almost wonder if the room we booked was a smoking room but then we realize it was cigarettes we were smelling.

  5. Well, the roaches climbing the walls are gross. We’re talking big, southern roaches

The front desk staff was very knowledgeable and helpful

Room is clean except for the creepy crawlers

    It’s close to UA

    Plenty of fast food places

    Small pool

And it’s not the cheapest on the block
