1. The furniture look like it was from the city dump, the floor was indoor outdoor carpeting that was absolutely filthy and smelly! I even ask if the construction workers stayed in that room. Beds not comfortable. Toilet seat is Miss matched to toilet way bigger than the rim of the toilet. We paid a lot more for this room than we have and other hotels much much nicer traveling to this area. I ask another couple outside waiting if their room was clean and they said the carpet was dirty and very very smelly also. When inquired was told under new management for two months. However should never put guest in rooms like this until fully renovated.

2. I wouldn’t stay here again. The bed was worn out and u shaped. There were no flat surfaces in the bathroom. The staff was rude impossible to understand and would speak Hindi in front of the guests. There were also bugs in the room. Top that all off with the management being too cheap to even provide those tiny bottles of shampoo or a hairdryer or microwave. This motel may be a few dollars cheaper than the competition but for just $10 or $20 more you could go elsewhere and have a more enjoyable time. I will say that the one positive is that the internet was good.

3. It was what I expected from a Motel 6. Nothing nice but not horrible. All the pictures on the wall were removed (the hardware was still on the wall) but one picture. There were holes in the TV stand like a bracket used to be there. The bathroom was clean although it didn’t have mini shampoo/conditioner. And the pressure of the shower head couldn’t be adjusted. The king bed was very large and the AC worked properly. The window drapes let in a good bit of light but wasn’t an issue since we had to wake up early anyway.

4. The location of the motel and the price of the room were great. I felt the bathroom needed to be upgraded. The tub had a hole on the side so when bathing my kids, water flooded the floor. There is no counter space to put bathroom belongings like a toothbrush. There was no microwave or couch-type furniture in the room like the picture I saw on the website when booking. Online, it states the motel provides a free “grab and go” breakfast, but the only thing they provided for free was coffee.

5. We just got home from Gulf Shores where we stayed at Country Hearth. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was at a large size. Tv was pretty small but at least we had one. Room service gave us towels at any time that we asked for them. My only complaint is that I forgot and took my shoes off and the carpet is real sticky feeling. Other wise .. our stay was great. We didn’t hear lots of noise or anything. It was a nice stay. If I ever plan to stay in Gulf Shores again, I will be checking out this hotel. I will be checking for this hotel no matter where I go. Thanks for a great room!!
