I had a death in my family and called the hotel they put me on hold, I had to take other calls as it was a little chaotic after hearing the news about my aunt passing. The next day I remembered to call them back again and was told I was charged. I explained everything to them. They had no sympathy, no understanding, they were so matter-of-fact about it that it sickened my stomach. I had been loyal to this hotel staying here on every business trip to the area but I will NEVER set foot in such a NON CUSTOMER CARING place again. I advise you to not make a reservation in advance because if any life-changing event happens out of the blue they will take advantage of it and take your money! What horrible management this hotel has! Disgusting disregard for human life! Oh let’s not forget what they kept telling me “It’s OUR POLICY” They told me this without an I’m sorry for your loss or anything! Just took my money and seemed to be happy with it! I’m just disgusted with the way I was treated after being such a loyal customer. If I could give a negative star rating I would! They don’t even deserve 1 star!
Stayed here one night while handling business in Tuscaloosa.
When I arrived, I was welcomed in a professional manner. It was a quick and swift check in. Once I received my key I went upstairs. The hotel is very clean.
The bed was acceptable.
I would stay here again
We stayed here for four nights while we were doing some major work on the house and it was a great place to stay.
They really did treat us like family. Desk staff were friendly and chatted with us if they weren’t busy, asking how we were doing getting settled in and how our work was going. The lady who ran the continental breakfast was just as friendly as the rest of the staff and meticulous about keeping everything clean.
Housekeeping had the room looking fresh and new every day, and I didn’t have to call for anything.
People were friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Our room was clean and stocked/supplied and comfortable.
The location was soon close to UA campus for us to easily get to our morning appointments.
I hope to stay there again in the future and check out the river walk!
Oh, I did get attacked (or hugged?) by an elephant in the lobby, tho!
Breakfast was awesome! The staff in the breakfast area served a delicious breakfast and kept it clean.
To get to the hotel was a little challenging because you cannot enter directly by crossing over.
The front desk staff were more concerned about finishing up what they were doing which was fine; how er, a would you mind waiting, I must finish and will be with you. Once they finished they didn’t say, “I apologize for the wait ” Customer service training is needed.
The bed in my room was horrible and I tossed and turned all night. It was too late for me to change rooms. I was in town on business.
It is a beautiful hotel.
