  1. If I could give absolutely no stars I would do exactly that. These rooms are EXTREMELY over priced for the rooms and the horrible customer service that comes along with it. I reserved 2 rooms at almost $400 total. I was in town for my best friend’s funeral and this is the only hotel in the area for about 30 miles. Upon entry service was horrible. The young lady working the front desk, whom name I think was Jahlisa or something similar was talking to another gentleman who worked at the hotel when I walked up. She seemed to be very annoyed by customers walking in. I guess because I interrupted her conversation. She walks up to the desk finally and says “can I help you” I then say Hey, how are you this evening ( meaning you should speak) she then says I am fine how are you. I continue to get checked In. We head to the rooms and upon entry to one room, it was evident that the room had not been cleaned since the last person checked out. The beds were unmade. Towels were everywhere in the bathroom, a true mess. I head downstairs and the young lady is having a conversation with another potential customer who she is laughing and joking with. No problem. I wait to tell her what happened until after the customer leaves, trying to make sure I don’t runaway their business however I should have been shouting to the man running and run fast. He left and I proceed to tell her the room had not been cleaned. She assigns another room, goes to look at it and come back and it was dirty too. She then assigns one of the reconstructed rooms ( that they were obviously trying to save for who though I am not sure since I was spending $200/room to stay at a comfort Inn. In the meantime my brother is in the other room and the mattress is pretty much so flat you should have just said you were sleeping on the floor. The smell in the room was awful and the furniture and carpet in the room look as if just all should have been burned. I go back to the front desk and now she is on her cellphone and just proceeds to look at me. Finally she says can I help you and I tell her about the other room. She was on the phone with her assistant manager who said swith them rooms if they don’t like it they can just get their money back. Wowwww is what I thought to myself. Again I’m in town for my best friends funeral and there is absolutely no hotels close ( hints why they get away with charging $200-$300/night for a room). They gave us both newly renovated rooms which were nice. However by then the damage is done. I WILL NEVER stay at this establishment at ANY of their locations based on my experience here. This was beyond mentally, physically and financially draining. This establishment should be closed. I honestly don’t know how they pass inspection of any kind. I have attempted on several occasions to reach out the the Manager Aretha and Jana-General Manager and NOTHING. No call back no email back ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BOOK HERE. Drive pass if possible.

  2. Now y’all know these rooms ain’t worth no $120 and no $130 a night. Y’all need to cut it out. Y’all don’t even offer a real breakfast. I have stayed here several times and y’all just jacking up these prices trying to get over on people. Just saved your money and drive the Tuscaloosa and get a cheaper Hotel.

  3. Paid for the room with Capital One points. Was told that I had to still give them a ‘139 dollar authorization fee’ that would come off after I left.

Two days later, they simply charged me the fee, essentially double-charging me for one mediocre hotel room, at an additional cost of 139 dollars and 52 cents.

I cannot believe that this is only me that had the issue, as I watched a girl having the exact same issues when I was waiting to check in on the eve of 4/13/24.

Worst part is that the room isn’t even worth the price. There are weird dips in the floor throughout it. The hot water runs out extremely swiftly. The internet, at least in room 204, is abysmal, and lacking in stability. The tub had a number of dark marks, that I assume were the glue used on the tub. The staff is mostly untrained and interested only in killing time, whether it’s vaping outside or watching movies.

And at their continental breakfast, every bread item I took was stale, including the bagel, as if they had kept it for a week too long before serving it.

There’s no excuse for stealing money from customers; if your employees are too incompetent and untrained to properly do their jobs, it’s time for the local group operating the hotel to send someone who can do basic clerking. The Manager, Aretha, was little help, saying she refunded it back to the card that I used for booking (a credit card that I used POINTS from to book).

In the end, I disputed the unlawful and idiotic charge with my bank. Avoid this place until they hire people whose only qualification isn’t ‘can fog a mirror.’

    EDIT:
When the credit card company called and confronted them, the Desk Manager then claimed ‘we never charged him,’ which is weird giving the conversations I’ve had with corporate and the Manager of the hotel where they promised to refund my money.

So, not only are the employees incompetent, they’re liars as well.

EDIT PART DEUX: received a call today from Aretha, showcasing her unprofessional managerial style and whining about the review. I honestly cannot fathom how she has a job at this point.

  4. The room was crazy expensive. Especially for how run down the hotel is. When you walk in, the rug is shredded. The room smelt terrible, and the tv didn’t work. There was also no hand soap in the bathroom. I woke up around 3 am to a lady talking way too loud on the phone, 4 rooms away from me. I called to tell the front desk lady but no one answered. I went downstairs, and no one was at the front desk. The location is pretty sketchy as well. There was a man outside the hotel playing drums with card board boxes next to all of the cars in the parking lot. Super sketch location, service was poor, pricing was outrageous, and the place extremely run down.
