Great service. Feels like the good old days, honest and great service all around. This is probably the first review I’ve ever written, but wanted to share my experience. They get the job done fast and give a clear picture of exactly what you’re paying for. After several unfortunate experiences at other businesses I am glad now to have a place I can trust and feel confident while dropping off my vehicle. As long as they’re in Clovis, I’m a customer for life!
I always use Clovis Auto. I recently had my AC compressor changed. I was going to have my son, who is an F-15 mechanic do it, but it deals with hazardous chemicals. The part costs at Clovis were the same that I found if I was to buy them at O’Reilly’s. The labor price seemed incredibly reasonable considering the job. They have also helped fix a smog, evap leak for me. Incredible service, honest pricing, and timely. I do a lot of work myself. When I am not up to it or don’t have the equipment or time, the only shop I trust is Clovis Auto. 5 stars for sure, and I know what I’m talking about.
After being told by a recommended shop I would need an engine replacement on my car I called Clovis Auto in tears! Manuel said to get a diagnostic with them so I did! I did not need an engine replacement but I did have several issues needing to be addressed. The whole staff are courteous and know what they are doing. I received daily updates and the end result is that my car was repaired fast and correctly for less than 1/3 the engine replacement cost. I will never go anywhere else! CLOVIS AUTO FOR THE WIN❤️🤗❗️
Seems like a waste to even give a review as the owner is a bit of a keyboard warrior when it comes to reviews he doesn’t agree with. We came to get our car smogged as we are in the process of selling it. Because we had just gotten the batteries replaced and a check engine light fixed yesterday, the car needed to drive for about 20 miles for the codes to clear out. We had no idea, nor did the shop tell us before running the smog. (A simple ask of “has the car recently been worked on because this could be an issue”) we passed the smog check on all areas except for the code clearing part. Instead of allowing us to drive the car around for a little and reset the system and bring it back to pass smog they insisted we would have to pay for another smog check and gave no grace because that’s their policy. While I do understand they’re completely within their right to have policies that they carry out, this felt unethical and honestly just greedy. Im sure they’ll double down on their response but I’m hoping that at least someone who is in the same position as us will read my review prior to going there and at least have a little extra guidance on how to save themselves the 35 dollars. We will definitely be taking our business elsewhere. Owner, I hope the next time you do business where there’s a misunderstanding on your end, you’re given extra grace and compassion in comparison to the zilch you gave to us. Do better. Be better.
