We had never stayed here before, but I heard through locals that this was the best place to stay.
We had a company event for 30 people and since there were two rooms per Suite we could double up in the rooms.
Our customers were blown away with how nice the rooms were compared to a normal hotel and the views off the balcony were beautiful.
The location was perfect because Food and entertainment was right there and no one had to drive.
Great room and furnishings, only Two issues I would say is on the day of checkout there was a knock at the door at 1025am and before I could get to the door a female started coming in and stated she was housekeeping and checking rooms. I told her we would be out by the checkout time of 11am. She replied to this by saying we had 20 minutes, I found this not only to be rude but unprofessional. We have been blessed to have had the opportunity to travel all over the world and nowhere have we been given a count down to get out. The other issue is parking which was difficult, one night we had to park two blocks away and walk to the room. I will say this little bump in the road will not deter us from staying again as we are looking for a home on the lake there and love the community.
One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed in! Right on Guntersville Lake at the fairly new City Harbor complex & Marina! Right at the complex are Restaurants, shops and a great little outdoor waterfront bar with Live music. The only thing missing was a pool, it was really hot and would have been nice to have a pool to cool off in! But I guess a lot of people here had boats! We were here for a wedding and if we would have had more time, we could have rented a boat and gone on the lake! Staff was friendly and accommodating with an early check in. All check in is done by phone and you are given a code! Condo was beautiful, well stocked and the balcony/views were amazing! I can’t wait to go back!
Location was wonderful, the suite was as well. Very clean and comfortable, air conditioner worked well, comfortable beds and linens. The instructions for arrival and departure were clear and easy to follow. We had an ironing board in our suite but not an iron, that was the only drawback. The on-property restaurants were great as well, being able to walk to shopping was a plus! Activities and night life available but still very quiet inside the suite. GREAT PROPERTY! We LOVED it!
City Harbor is a great location with multiple restaurants and shops close by. Whether you own your own boat or rent one, you can dock it there while you eat, go to your room, etc. The view from the room was great with the water and the mountains.
The reason it didn’t get a 5 for the room is for cleanliness and the sunrise waking us up at 6am every morning. The room could have been cleaner in some areas (spider webs in top corners, piled up dust in closet floors, etc.). One of the can lights was broken and partly hanging out of the ceiling. I would recommend getting black out curtains for the master suite and living room as the sun rises on this side and makes it very bright very early despite the blinds in the master bedroom.
Some of the establishments on site have music at night which wasn’t a problem as far as being too loud in your room and keeping you up. Was nice that you could walk down for a bit then head back up. Overall, we very much enjoyed our trip.
