Excellent care! I could not ask for better service and will be using this shop every time Iām in the South Bay and recommending to all of my friends and family! I came in with a pressing issue that was time sensitive and they looked at my car immediately. Alex was responsive, warm, and kind, and he and all of the technicians really went above and beyond to care for my car before driving off on a big road trip. I canāt thank them enough!
Recently had a brake and tire job done at Charlieās ā it should come as no surprise that a reputable independent shop will save you quite a bit of money.
The staff at Charlieās is knowledgeable and provided a discount as well. Would recommend.
Iāve had several bad experiences here, but this last one was the most infuriating. I took my car in because it was leaking oil, and they said they ran my engine in idle for over an hourāwith the A/C on full blast, and claimed they couldnāt find any issues. Why would anybody think thatās a good idea, let alone a mechanic!? Meanwhile, Iām here calling, asking for updates because they couldnāt bother to give me any. After several hours, they just said to pick up the car because they claimed: āthey couldnāt find any problems.āTwo days later, thereās more oil stains on the driveway, even worse than before. Are you actually kidding me??? This place wasted my gas, my time, and they made the problem worse from the extended idling period as I predicted. I ended up going to another shop and they found the problem immediately. I would seriously rate negative stars if I could. This business is a complete joke.
So disappointed writing this review as I really truly thought I could trust this place. Here it goes. Last year, I was searching around for a mechanic and I came across this place and decided to give them a shot. I took my car down there to fix the AC and they claimed that my battery among many other things needed to be replaced. Fast forward to today, my car was barely starting regardless of my husband jump starting it several times which we thought was strange considering we had just spent the money a year prior on a battery replacement and there was no way that a brand new one would go that bad after only a year. We later went down to Costco and as it turned out, the one that this place sold me and quoted me was for a 2018 one! It all made sense after that as to why it failed so easily. This place clearly sells used parts and tries to pass them off as new. Will never be returning here again as I have no clue what else I paid money for that was not what it should have been.
Honest, kind and awesome. They also were able to get a job done that no one else could. Amazing service too. I am happy to write this review and they will have my business for a long time.
